"The center cannot hold . Things fall apart. "
Synopsis :
Yet another round in the Plant-Herbivore Wars .The sudden intrusion of cacao plants into West Africa (Ivory Coast) enabled opportunistic filoviri to hijack some evolutionary old accommodations on cellular memory . These are rewound to nearly stem-cell stage , unstitching inter-cellular integrity . The cells forget their place .
Things fall apart and fluids leak all over the place .
Discussion :
Broad Argument :
Plants evolve poisons to prevent being eaten , but also to promote propagation .
Fertilizing animals are at first punished less , then rewarded as an accommodation is reached .
Herbivores develop metabolisms to neutralize , then utilize poisons , and utilize any plant propagation rewards .
The system must be seen as a whole , over a long period of time .
Split Strategic Objectives :
As is seen , the conflict between personal survival and successful propagation drives the process .
Plants could easily have inhibited multi-cellular animals , but mobile animals have propagation advantages . And , so , we are off to the races . In this case , literally .
The most successful racers are flyers . Especially insects .
For instance , humans and most mammals will not survive the total eradication of mosquitoes .
Hint : sideways benign bacterial transmission gene-material will vanish . Most benign plants have a vested interest in keeping the status-quo , but denying them the major vector of long-distance gene-transmission via birds-mosquitoes will allow only local malign influences to predominate . This follows from Complexity : There are many more ways of going Wrong than going Right . To increase the odds of going Right , the more the merrier . This means communication .QED .
Also known as The Small-World Network Model .
Binary Poisons :
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Garlic and the Plant-Herbivore Wars" Apr 2011
Really powerful chemicals are kept under control by keeping innocuous feeder stocks separate , and only combining them under controlled conditions .
This can be as simple as keeping them physically separate as in Garlic , or in complex chemical pathways mediated by enzymes as in cells . Actually , quite simple .
See the cell in energy terms . Not complex at all . Inevitable is the term
Just a Knossos of walls , with a Minotaur for variety .
End State :
A fairly constant end state is something like Chocolate . A synthesis of the thesis and antithesis . A powerful forgetty poison (theobromine) is combined with a positive-feedback neurotransmitter (phenethylamine) (ie memory),
but with moderating chaperones (phenols discovered , still to be described) .
This tension has played a major role in evolution , as it enables duplicates of genes to play an exaggerated role . While humans only have about 25 000 genes , they have many , many more in duplicates . And these get switched on or off , or more deliciously , only partially , to give a nearly smooth range of responses .
Caffeine
Even without dietary intake, theobromine may occur in the body as it is a product of the human metabolism of caffeine, which is metabolised in the liver into 10% theobromine, 4%theophylline, and 80% paraxanthine.
High blood concentrations of paraxanthine have been linked to spontaneous abortion in pregnant mothers.
Plants have been breeding humans .
Drinking coffee and tea means stimulated consciousness , but also lower fertility .
Remember , there is no consciousness involved . It is purely evolutionary .
Fewer humans means that more can afford luxuries like Starbucks .
The optimization calculations is left to the dear reader .
Plants seem to like mobile members of Gaia to be very active , with reproductive rates within strict boundaries . Figures .This optimum can be calculated .
Caffeine Breakdown genes :
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com" Caffeine and Heart Attacks" Mar 2011
Humans with 1 out of 2 defective copies of the gene P450 A12 (CYP1A2) on chromosome 15 are at least 64 times more likely to have a heart attack . (It governs enzymes in the liver that breaks down caffeine)
It also means a continual high concentration of paraxanthine . This means severe anti-selection against individuals with this gene lack . His or her unborn babies will generally spontaneously abort .
The pulse effect
The normal time of caffeine breakdown is about 2 hours . A factor of 64 means that a person has to remain without coffee or tea for about 64/2 =32 hrs (1 and a third days) to have viable reproductive chances .
This basically means that the peasants breed like mad , but those that can afford coffee or tea have a lower reproduction rate . And so it goes .
See the Napoleon Effect : Not the warm baths , but the availability of coffee .
Integrins
(Remember the term –you will be seeing a lot of it )
The glue that keeps cells together . Basically a spin structure . Targeted by Cytokines with anti-spin architecture .

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chocolate
"Cocoa solids contain alkaloids such as theobromine and phenethylamine, which have physiological effects on the body. It has been linked to serotonin levels in the brain. Some research found that chocolate, eaten in moderation, can lower blood pressure.[1] The presence of theobromine renders chocolate toxic to some animals,[2] especially dogs and cats.
The first signs of theobromine poisoning are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and increasedurination. These can progress to cardiac arrhythmias, epileptic seizures, internal bleeding, heart attacks, and eventually death."
Note the Internal Bleeding . This means failure of the epithelial linings of blood vessels . As happens in Haemorrhagic Fevers .
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebola
"The presence of viral particles and cell damage resulting from budding causes the release of cytokines (specifically TNF-α, IL-6, IL-8, etc.), which are the signaling molecules for fever and inflammation. Thecytopathic effect, from infection in the endothelial cells, results in a loss of vascular integrity. This loss in vascular integrity is furthered with synthesis of GP, which reduces specific integrins responsible for cell adhesion to the inter-cellular structure, and damage to the liver, which leads to coagulopathy. Without vascular integrity and effective coagulation, blood quickly leaks through the blood vessel leading to hypovolemic shock."

Synopsis :
Recent experimental findings have enabled a closer approximation of the helical magma model .
Discussion :
See :
http://andreswhy.blogspot.com " Earthquakes and Volcanoes " , "Earthquakes and Volcanoes II" May 2011
NewScientist 12 March 2011 "Pulsating planet"
Observational evidence indicates :
1.There are only two magma helices , with axes at about negative 63 degrees to spinward .
2.Fairly recent axes are at 15 degrees west South to 125 degrees west North and at the antipodes of 180 degrees .
3. Plumes of magma are at places where the spirals are closest to the surface , and break through . There are numerous ones .
4 Anomalies :
On Latitude 20 North and 50 South there were large magma breakthroughs . Remember , these drive the crusts . Pangea , etc ? Note the Continental concentrations .
What this mean ?
Do not confuse simple tectonic unzipping with magma plumes .
The three 8+ quakes in 2004 in the South-East of Australia were magma plume quakes . These destabilized the plates to the north , leading to the plate quakes at Indonesia and Japan .
Latitude transmission :
Slower , but expect major tectonic and tsunami effects at 50 South ,105 West .
Tsunami warnings (Middle of the Pacific) for Chile . Big ones .
The hotspot to the east of Madagaskar ( about 62 East , 23 South) will really get zapped , as well as coast lines .
If the Southern Hemisphere is really unlucky , there can be a major plume at 50 South , 12 West (south of Tristan da Cunha) . Two hundred meter plus tsunamis on the South African coast can be expected .
I told you to get off planet .

Barycenter IV
Barycenter IV
Andre Willers
21 May 2011
Synopsis:
Measurements of Big G (Newton's Gravitational Constant) have been warped by the hidden assumption that small g (Earth's gravitational attraction at the surface) remains constant . But it fluctuates depending on the barycenter .
Discussion :
Measurement techniques :
Torsion Balance or Free-hanging pendulums .
See NewScientist 23 Apr 2011 p45
Both require the hidden assumption that the rate of change of g in two horizontal dimensions is zero .
But it is not .
The experimental apparatus is orbiting around the barycenter , changing the g vectors
And they did not compensate for this . After two centuries .
GRRR !
We expected better .
The order of G error (10^-4 ) fits the barycenter discrepancy .
Humans will have to do better than this if they expect to survive .
You get a big fat D minus .

Click and Ley-Lines
Click and Ley-Lines
Andre Willers
21 May 2011
Synopsis:
Ley lines were acoustic waveguides built by very pragmatic neolithic click engineers .
The system included amplifiers , boosters and multiplexors .
Discussion :
Sound from stones :
Actually being done by a present by a Click master .
Listen to it : Google "Pino Sciola" . Many Utube examples .
Pinuccio Sciola is a Click-speaker .
He can literally hear rock sing .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Click ---" entries .2010 , 2011
Look at his left-hand ear in
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0UA3Bt6NeI&feature=player_detailpage
It has the typical double-earlobe , but a very well-defined earlobe waveguides leading to what appears to be another earhole . His right-hand ear is not nearly as well developed .
The videos also shows him listening with the left ear held next to the stone .
While he could probably hear sub-vocalizations in his youth , without training he probably thought he slightly bonkers and wisely kept quiet .
By now , high-frequency hearing would have degenerated with age .
His genome should be declared a world-heritage site , or at least patented .
The Technology :
Sound-Generators :
Photo's of his rock sound generators are very informative :
Sound is mainly created by the elasticity of the rock . Grooving and fissures are essential features .
Compare this to megalithic remains . Many features attributed to weathering are the remains sound-generating features .
Of note is the Fissured Monolith . Essentially a sound-transformer . Step-down , step-up depending on relative frequencies , fine-tuned by grooving the rock .
Sound-Amplifiers
Circular structures captures faint sounds and amplifies them . This is a well-known effect (Whisper walls) . But note that the whisper heard is "louder" than the source .
The information is enhanced by the circular feedback wave-interference , as well as by the Cocktail-party effect in the human brain .
Speculation : not all humans are equally good at the Cocktail-party trick . The talented ones would have genes from ancestors who were selected (bred) to hear sensible signals from a chaotic background in Neolithic times (acolytes)
Sound Transmission Lines (Ley Lines)
The physics of this is well-understood .
1.The straighter the better.
2.No major obstructions , especially trees .
3.Boundary guides need not be contiguous .
That means trees or regular rock pylons can be used , dramatically cutting down on costs in treeless regions .
The typical leyline would have looked like an arched footpath , with a tunnel of trees around and over it . A Green Waveguide . Tended and cultured .
The infrastructure support formed villages around it . This is where the name comes from : villages close to the first-discovered ley lines had names ending in –ley or -ly .
Booster stations :
Likewise , look for booster stations near places with the following in their names :
Strong comes from a prehistoric Germanic *stranggaz (its immediateGermanic siblings have now died out, but German streng ‘severe’ is quite closely related). It went back ultimately to a base denoting ‘stiffness’ or‘tautness’, which also produced English string.
Garbh, Gar, Garry (Gaelic), rough, rugged, harsh.
Garth .
There should be circles of standing stones nearby , in Europe and England .
Receiver Sites :
Where signals ended up from all over , were decoded , decisions made and the resultant orders sent out back along the network .
A busy hub like Stone-henge would be more like an artificial capital like Washington DC or Brazilia in our terms . There would be at least two major circles of stone or wooden construction , with many smaller ones .
It was a technology , with the engineers having the inestimable advantage of directly hearing the signals .
Why ?
What was in for them ?
Sheer survival .
We think in human-relative terms of military and economic advantages in our fat , carefree civilization .
But 10 000 – 6 000 years ago , Europe was rocked by the end of the Ice-age .
They were battling for survival against nature and each other .
Besides earthquakes , tsunamis from broken ice-dams destroyed communities without warning , releasing floods of desperate survivors .
Coordination of warnings and resources was vital to anyone surviving .
This means communication .
The ley-lines were like telegraph lines during a time of total catastrophe ,
lasting for thousands of years .
Could our civilization do the same ?

Briefly , a single neuron-axon assembly transmits the signal of a startle on one side of the body to the muscles on the other side , causing them to contract with speeds of about 4 ms . A very fast getaway .
Without it (see below) , it is double that , about 9 ms .
http://www.biolbull.org/cgi/reprint/199/2/180.pdf
This is a huge competitive advantage .
We all duly have inherited crossed notochords . With the ancillary baggage of startle-reflexes .
Eg : snap your fingers next to someone's right ear and his head will jerk to the left long before any signals could be transmitted via standard ways . It even works on yourself (ie warning does not prevent the reflex: try it)
Handedness :
Fishballs (also known as bait-balls)
A survival strategy where many fish cluster together in a dense , rotating ball .
They actually rotate around a moving barycentre . The whole fish-ball has a distinct and delineated survival probability structure .
This is dependant on the rotation of the ocean gyre they find themselves in .
Even small differences over millions of years leads to a breaking of symmetry .
(Swimming with the current gives a small , but distinct advantage . So does slipstreams)
Startle responses (ie responding to schooling signals by neighbouring fishes) will be reinforced in an asymmetric fashion .
Pattern recognition for the out-facing eye-ear and predictive systems for the in-facing eye-ear .
We still sit with this legacy .
See "Sports" below .
Dimensions:
The fishball is sensitive to currents in a three-dimensional medium .
Hence , startle responses in the Mauthner-neurons have been evolved in 3 dimensions , especially moving between vertical dimensions .
This came in handy in moving onto the land , and we still have it .
(Click your fingers behind your neck , if you don't believe me . Your head will jerk backward .)
Predator behaviour :
Predators have learned to exploit this startle response .
A really nice piece of work is in SciAm Apr 2011 "Natural born killer" by KC Catania (p65)
A snake has evolved mouth-tentacles to detect and startle fish into optimum eating positions .
(Sounds like the Wall Street Journal .)
Dolphins use the same with rising or plunging bubble curtains .
(Any air bubble in water has to have a spin as it changes density levels in a planetary ocean . This confuses and startles a fish . They instinctively (Mauthner-literally) curve into the fish-ball .
Other examples abound .
Sports :
Training is the interesting bit .
Most human sports have a 3 dimensional element (height) .
This can be optimally trained by mimicking sparkling , rotating bubbles
You can directly train the Mauthner-neurons .
To get better than 4 milliseconds , I suggest precognition or FTL
This is fine for sports like tennis , soccer , etc .
But what about Golf ?
We train the same way , but invert it .
From the hole , fire sparkling , rotating bubbles at the player .
Virtual would be easiest . The player stands within a envelope of spinning bubbles . He only has to play into the available space . About 400 million years of evolution works for him , then .
Not allowable in competition , but fine in training .
Click Languages :
A click language decreases startlement .
Test it . Double-click with tongue , then immediately snap fingers behind neck .
Mauthner-neuron response is inhibited (synapse exhaustion initially , then learned response)
Sculpting Good-Muscle Memory :
Also used in rousing music .
Using the differential speeds of impulses in air (0.00343 cm/ms) vs impulse in salty water(body) (0.0156 cm/ms) . The ratio is 4.558 . In other words , sound clicks in air have to be less than 4.558 cm from the skin to have a training effect .
Loud music from many speakers :
The sound-pressure wave is so flat and discrete that skin sensors see it as less than 4.5 cm .Note the fine muscle delineation in rock stars .They did not start out that way .
Ear-buds :
An interesting way of programming human systems .
Below 4.558 cm the system sees signals as endogenous . Many defense systems allow it . End-sequences to musical pieces (as discussed before) on an earbud will trigger telomere sequences .
I really don't care any more .

The Philadelphia experiment.
The Philadelphia Experiment .
Andre Willers
17 May 2011
Synopsis :
The Philadelphia Experiment (USA 1943) was disinformation (US Navy) designed to divert critical Nazi resources at a critical time . The fine hand of Robert Heinlein can be discerned .
As the Nazi's became desperate , it was resurrected . Some anomalous results were obtained . Theory during and after WWII was insufficient for controlled use .
It was buried because of lack of utility and use of Kammler , a particularly bad Nazi .
Discussion :
Robert Heinlein :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_A._Heinlein
See photo of Robert Heinlein , L.Sprague de Camp and Isaac Asimov in Philadelphia Navy Yard , 1944 . An "In-joke"
He served on the new aircraft carrierUSS Lexington (CV-2) in 1931. During that time, Heinlein worked on radio communications, then in its nascent phase, with the carrier's airplanes. The captain of the warship was Ernest J. King who was later to serve as the Chief of Naval Operations during the Second World War.
Under the aegis of Admiral King , they cooked up the Philadelphia smoke-and-mirrors scam to convince the Nazi's to divert resources into non-existent technology .
This was 1943 . How well it worked is unknown . Not very well , I think .
Hans Kammler at this time was building concentration camps .
The Biter Bit .
As the Nazi regime became more desperate , they started clutching at straws . Small cost , high-payoff projects were supported .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Fuehrer Prinzip" Oct 2009 for how they worked .
One of these was the disinformation intel about Philadelphia Project .
Hans Kammler
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Kammler
was assigned (or , more likely , took over after first anomalous results) .
By 8 Aug 1944 he was head of the V2 projects and by Jan 1945 head of all the Reich's missile projects , by order of Hitler .
He was an engineer intimately familiar with the pulse-systems of V1 .
Any good lie has to have a good measure of truth . And the Philadelphia Scam was (and still is) beyond present controllable systems .
But not uncontrollable-pulse systems .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Barycenters ," Barycenters II" Barycenters III" May 2011 for plans and theory .
The Nazi's got some high-energy release results , but could never control it . The US took it over , but could not get any controllable results either . They then buried it to hide the presence of Kammler and the embarassment of not getting results .
A pity .
Apart from a space drive , it also means a line-of-sight near-lightspeed high-mass anti-ballistic missile .
But what do I know ?

Short term memory
Short term memory .
Andre Willers
14 May 2011
Synopsis :
Short term memory is a reverse valve .It reduces the complexity of brain functions into usable chunks .
To paraphrase Rossouw:
"All humans are born smart , but everywhere they are stupid."
What gives ?
Discussion :
The usual human explanation is that incoming data is put into a temporary register of about 4-7 items . This is then manipulated to give some indication of smartness .
What happens in reality :
Data floods in through millions of receptors in the eyes , skin , nose , ears ., etc
This gets sent to the brain , where the signals are integrated . At the upper levels of the brain are mirror-neuron networks , mimicking other people (other mirror-networks) .
All this takes time . About 0.25 seconds . The end result is a voted result .
Short-term memory is a consequence of feedback memory management , not input deficiency .
What does this mean ?
You are stupid not because of your brain deficiencies , but because your brain meters smartness .
This has survival value in low-energy environments .
Can you be smarter ?
Certainly . It is stupidity that is programmed in . But be careful of what you wish for .
The Cassandra Effect and pulsed Singularities :
Being very smart in a Beth(0) Universe leads to complexification of Beth(1+) .
Singularities of one .
You can only escape this in transitional Beth() states . And good luck to you .
General unhappiness for a social being .
If you understand this , you are already there .
And here you thought I told you how to be smart .
I did .
Andre .

Barycenters III : Spindizzy Theory
Barycenters III : Spindizzy Theory
Andre Willers
14 May 2011
Synopsis :
Asymmetric orbitals around barycenters leads to lags between magnetic momentum and angular momentum of mass . This generates fluctuations in G . The effect gets very pronounced if the barycenter is inside the definition horizon one of the particles involved .
Macro-asymmetric effects can be engineered (ie a space-drive)
Discussion :
The relevant equation is the Locke derivation of the Dirac-Brackett equation :
G = (2*c/b) ^2 * (P/U)^2
Where
G=Gravitational Interaction between particles
C is lightspeed , b~0.25 , P is magnetic moment , U is Angular Momentum .
The Trick :
1.P and U are divorced (lagged) in Barycenter descriptions .
The centers do not coincide .
2.G then varies . This averages out unless some rectifying element is applied .
Usually , this is simply dipping the barycenter below the definition horizon of a particle .
3.But you can apply precise EM lasers at beat frequencies to increase the lag .
This will biase G in the direction of the lasers .
In other words , a reactionless mass space drive .
Testing :
This can be tested on university desk-top systems .
Tribute to James Blish .
We don't need a Bridge on Jupiter .
But he was the Bridge .
May we see Cities in Flight .

Barycenters II : Spindizzy matter-conversion pulse-rocket .
Barycenters II :Spindizzy Matter-conversion Pulse-rocket .

12 May 2011
Synopsis:
Energy release from decrease in proton size is channeled partly into chain reaction , and partly into intensification of magnetic field . Once this grows over 10^16 Tesla , charged particles start forming out of the vacuum (starting with rho-mesons) . These short-lived particles are usually more massive than electrons . So we have a short , intense positive-feedback pulse where energy comes from proton and neutron decay , as well as vacuum energy as created particles are separated by the really intense magnetic forces .
Discussion :
References :
1. http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Barycenters" 12 May 2011
2. "NewScientist" 9 Apr 2011 "Magnets pluck current from void"
The Plan :
1.Wrap a number of small packets of hydrogen(protons) in fine copper wire .
2.Pack them in-line in a tube with a heavy duty conductor wrapped around them for the proton-axis alignment .
3.In between them , put a doped layer of matter that decays into muons .
4.Pulse one end of the tube heavily with muons , while pulsing a heavy current through the big outer winding to align the protons .
Mass will be expelled at the other end (your jet)
5.Repeat . (Pulse)
6.Stand back far away . (Do not try this at home)
Negative EMP:
A theoretical possibility .
All EMP pulses are flattened ("sucked up") into the formation of vacuum-particles .
Think matter rectifiers and matter transistors .
This will lead to ultra-collapsed matter . (Not neutronium , black hole or any squashed matter . Pure matter without any charge in stable configurations.)
Even a catalysis under certain conditions .
The radiation signature might be much smaller than supposed .
Properly balanced , it will be zero .
But when is the universe ever properly balanced ?
It is much more likely that Negative-EMP dominates .Which means a leaching effect on EM waves . It would seem as if wavelengths are growing longer as time goes on .
Sounds familiar ? (Hubble effect , universe expansion)
A neat twist on the Hoyle-Chandrasekhar Steady-State Universe . Instead of matter being continuously created , EM is being continously destroyed and transformed .
Conservation Principles :
This set of Universes are characterized by Delineation : Delineation , by definition , creates a Paired Principle: any delineated change is associated with another delineated change . Also known as Laws of Conservation of Energy , Mass , Information ,etc .
Trans-luminal effects :
What happens to the information encoded in EM which is zeroized by Negative EMP?
The new home (a small particle-pair) has insufficient capacity to store much (order of 256 bits) , whereas the EM has potentially very large information content .
So , the information pops up somewhere else in this universe . And it is not limited by EM speed , by definition .
Hyperdrive :
So , we only need to keep the information packets together . Which is an engineering problem .
Enclosing the spaceship in a shell of magnetic fields exceeding 10^16 Tesla will isolate it from the local space-time , enabling it to pop up at some other space-time coordinate . Sounds simple , but remember conservation of information .
The KISS principle applies with a vengeance .
Hyperdrive pilots will have to have a simplicity . Everybody will get lost in multiplicity .
Quantum Laundering :
The problem is isolating the observer from quantum observer effects before and after the experiment .
Remember , it is time-independent , but complexity dependant .
We know the complexity of this set of universes is of the order of
1/dx * 1/dmv <= 2pi/h ….from Heisenberg uncertainty principle
<= 9.482514 * 10^33
This is the measure of Complexity of the Beth(0) Universe we find ourselves in .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Slingshots" 17 Apr 2011
Our problem is to find a sufficiently complex procedure that is simple to execute in a repetitive fashion . Luckily this has already been done .
This is the Laundering Procedure :
It usually follows entropy , but this can be reversed (time travel)
An ordinary bridge card game (52 cards) where every card comes into play , has a maximum complexity of the order of 10^14 .
But add a joker or two , and the complexity rises to the order of 10^41 , bigger than the complexity of the underlying substrate Beth(0) universe .
Tarot cards are even higher .
Delicious !
If the experimenters played any poker with jokers , before or after the quantum experiment , it would affect the result .
Especially after the experiment .
Cold fusion is a case in point .
CERN should do this . But they only pay lip-service to the idea that the observer is an integral part of the process , never mind that the effect of the observer can be isolated by complexity protocols .
Hyperdrive Captains will have to be players of jokers or tarot .if they want to arrive at their advertised destinations .

Barycenters , Stellar- and Proton stability
Barycenters , Stellar- and Proton Stability

Synopsis :
A Barycenter inside an object's defined delineation radius destabilizes it .
Discussion :
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_of_mass for definitions of barycenters .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com " Slingshots , Dark Matter and Dark Energy."17 Apr 2011 .
Suns :
Our sun has a barycenter just outside it's surface , mainly due to Jupiter .
What does this mean ?
It means that Sol is not prone to massive eruptions that will sterilize the planets .
The same will be true for other Solar systems .
A barycenter inside the Sun will impart massive momentum surges to the normal stellar processes , resulting in large EMP and particulate fluxes due to fusion in extra-solar environments (loops) . This would sterilize any life processes on planets .
Earth-Moon has a barycenter inside the earth . This means very large tides as well as active tectonics .Basically , the generation of life . Just enough destabilization .
Protons :
Proton size has to be smaller than the barycenter distance from the proton's center .
If it is greater , it will decay .
If it doesn't , it's boundary is forever teasing the edges of instability . The half-life of protons can be calculated from this .
Substituting muons for electrons (see "NewScientist" 26 Mar 2011 p50 "Nuclear bad boys" ) led to a factor of about 4% reduction in the size of the proton .As expected . They did not mention decay products from proton breakdown .
This is actually a planar explosive
(energy release along general proton spin axes) .
About 4% conversion of mass into energy .
It also means that a chain reaction is possible .
A really large bomb .
But , also , a space drive .
Spindizzy . Dirac equations apply .
What will Humans choose ?

Domestication and Anti-Domestication in Humans
Andre Willers
7 May 2011
Synopsis :
Every domestication process has an equivalent anti-domestication process in the gene-pool , as non-aggressive genetic traits are selected out .
This happens very quickly .
Discussion :
Genetic basis of aggression
Specifically neurotransmitters like serotonin , their promoters (ie 5-HT) and degraders (ie MAO-A) . Aggression can be seen as extreme irritability , leading to hair-trigger fight-or-flight activation . This has epigenetic aspects , leading to extremely fast phenotype and genotype changes .
See "NewScientist" 2 April 2011 "Evolution in the fast lane" p32

The domestication of silver foxes
(Balyaev) in the 1950's is a case in point .
See "National Geographic" Mar 2011 "Taming the wild" p35 or Google it .
Starting with a wild population , selecting purely for and against aggressiveness led to two distinct population groups after only eight (8) generations .
A domesticated group exhibiting the Domestication Phenotype and a Anti-Domesticated group , exhibiting unrelenting aggression .
This is incredibly fast , and not possible without deep underlying epigenetic and genotype mechanisms .
Domestication Phenotype
Note that these chacteristics started appearing after only 4 generations of selecting for non-aggressive silver foxes .
1.Floppy ears
Decreased alertness , due to decreased fight-or-flight activation thresholds in at least three wombs .
2.Coat-colour variation (visual) and raised tail(scent)
In a stress-free environment , it pays to advertise . There are feedback effects .
The Zebra-effect
Are striped animals incapable of being domesticated ?
(Cheetah's seems to have been domesticated , but the domesticated variety went extinct . The Leopard class evolved to prey on homonins . Conflict of instincts)
Indeed , the problem is to explain why so few animals have been domesticated .
Interesting experiments :
Zebra's have resisted domestication . What if we painted a group piebald and let them some interact with the striped variety and others with piebald cows (like Frieslands) ?
Alternatively , paint domesticated cows with stripes and see what will happen .
The same with scents .
Frequent interaction with humans will have this scent effect .
Skin ecologies.
There will also be interactions with skin ecologies .
Epigenetic effects mediated by skin ecologies of different species should have a piebald effect on fur colouring .
It might be instructive to look in the UV range , as well .
War Paint :
Humans paint on stripes to terrify their opponents by indicating that they are untameable .
Rather amusing , as untameable humans (like sociopaths) desperately mimic human traits to survive .
UV War Paint .
A good mosquito repellant .
Mammals lost the genes for the dopsin sensitive to UV about 100 MYA .
But insects , reptiles and birds can see in the UV . Hence they are sensitive to visual patterns in the UV .
Putting on UV War Paint that terrifies an insect , but is invisible to the human eye should make a good mosquito repellent .
There might be a feedback subliminal effect through the skin ecology .
Also , the genes for the UV dopsin might simply have been suppressed , and is still lurking about in the DNA jungle . Pregnant women should be careful around UV .
Male balding .
Old age markers (see http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Old age markers" Dec 2007 )
have been adapted to indicate domesticated human males . This is a variation of piebald , usually affecting high-testosterone males . Indicating to females that they are safe to be around .
"Ring-koppe" , priestly tonsures in both west and east .
Mandarin tonsures .
Hair Dressing and Clothes :
These are artificial fur patterns .
Female hair colouring .(Equivalent to male-pattern baldness)
Fashion dictates . But strong stripes never indicates meekness .
Whereas dots indicate domestication . The female then has no power base for negotiation .
It is no wonder that Fools always wear dotty clothes . They are seen as domesticated , and thus can get away with lese-majeste .
Humans and Animals in the "Wild"
There is no more wild . Has not been for at least 70 000 years (since Toba) .
Attempted domestication has split animal and human genomes into Low-Aggression and High-Aggression groups .
Surviving un-domesticated animals are anti-domesticated . Successive attempts at domestication has leached out the non-aggressive genes and gene-switches .
This applies to humans too .
This can be clearly seen in Africa .
Since humans originated here , the largest percentage of anti-domesticated groups are found here
(ie the results of unsuccessful attempts at suppression of aggression genes.)
Hence zebras , cape buffalo's , African elephants , etc .The same for humans ..
Empires
The Roman , Chinese , Tibetan , USSR empires are cases in point .
Highly aggressive humans end up in the Army on the borders . The remaining humans inside the Empire are less aggressive .When things break down , the Trouble comes from the borders . Since it is genetic , this goes on for generations .
The borders are Anti-Domesticated .
The Future :
Work being done now should , within 5 years at the latest , result in an aerosol spray (scent) that changes epigenetic switches to make a human into an adoring dog .
Woof!

Not Guilty
Not Guilty
Andre Willers
5 May 2011
Synopsis:
I am "Not Guilty ." Whatever the contention :
Discussion :
Attack and no defence
(Nolo contendere)
This is taken as guilty in an Adversarial system .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Judicial Systems and the singularity" Apr 2011
The Internet at present is such a system .
Thus , if you are attacked , ignoring it is not the optimum response .
Other onlookers will judge you guilty by default since you do not defend yourself in the old trial-by-combat fashion .
"Not Guilty"
This is a sufficient response .
The onus is shifted to the attacker .
Detailed answers :
Nit-picking only plays into the hands of the attackers .
This is the classic Strategic Offense and Tactical Defense .
But you have to explicitly do it .
Optimal Strategy :
1.Declare "Not Guilty"
2.Cut off communication to attackers, but not from them .
If you are smart enough , go into singularity of one .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Singularities"
Why do I do this ?
Because recently I have been subjected to vitriolic attacks on my Blog .
I have no intention of answering . But not responding to the attacks renders me "Guilty" by the logic of this civilization .
Hence this blanket "Not Guilty" statement .
Neo-Horse barbarians of the Internet .
This is analogue to the light-horses of lies vs fortresses of truth .
There is very little instruction here .
"The tigers of wrath are wiser than the horses of instruction "
Most of them are kids of any age .
I suppose it is non-U to nuke the little bastards .
Grin and bear it .

The General Staff and Facebook
The General Staff and Facebook.
Andre Willers
4 May 2011
Synopsis:
The 150-person ceiling has been solved before by the invention of The General Staff .
Facebook is a General Staff in every person's cellphone .
Discussion :
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staff_(military)
Simply put , a Staff enables a single individual to command and control thousands or millions of people in an orderly fashion .
It handles all those pesky details .
The initial modern form was developed by
Berthier and Napoleon
The first modern use of a General Staff was in the French Revolutionary Wars, when General Louis Alexandre Berthier was assigned as Chief of Staff to the French Army of Italy in 1795. Berthier was able to establish a well organized staff support team. Napoleon Bonaparte took over the army the following year and rapidly came to appreciate Berthier's system, adopting it for his own headquarters, although Napoleon's usage was limited to his own command group.
The General Staff:
In 1814, Prussia formally established by law a central military command General Staff and a separate General Staff for each division and corps.
History :
I presume Berthier used ancient Roman and Greek experiences , but I am not going into that now .
The General Staff and Political Stability :
The existence of a General Staff leads to greater political stability . The latest instance of this can be seen in Egypt (2011) .
Conspirators have to ask " What does the Army think ?" instead of "What does the Colonel think?"
Without a General Staff there is no Army , only a collection of commands .
Companies :
The CEO faces the same problems . The General Staff here are called by many different names . Personal secretaries was a favourite in the 1800's . Directors in the 1900's . Personal Assistants in the 2000's . All are Staff Officers who exist to implement the will of the CEO over a large number of subordinates in an orderly fashion .
Sam Wall started it with WallMart .
Military applications of Facebook .
Already used in asymmetric conflicts in Egypt , Libya , Iran , Iraq , Afghanistan , etc , on all sides .
A military revolution on par with the technological changes in the late 1700's .
With each soldier having a General Staff in his cell[phone , the formal command structure will have to trot to keep up , or be rendered irrelevant ,
Multiple General Staffs
Also known as the Democratic Ceiling .
Without a technology like Facebook , the 150-person ceiling applies and political parties form Hierarchies form . Back to the old horse race .
With Facebook , there will be a strong force to tailor different versions with various degrees of compatibility . This is akin to speciation .
Virtual Species :
"Can the camouflage-clad warrior find happiness with gaudy butterfly? Can he even find her , if their Facebook privacy settings are incompatible ? "
Toys and their boys .
