Crocodile Diamonds

Synopsis:
Alluvial Diamonds are sequestrated over very long periods of time as crocodile dung . Very rich deposits are hidden in river banks .
Discussion :
Alluvial diamonds in some South African rivers were eaten by fish , and eventually by the top-predators , crocs . Their fantastic immune system encapsulated the diamonds in a carbon capsule , which was eventually excreted in their dens in the river banks . Here they metamorphized (fossilised ? ) into rock-like lumps .
These would all be large stones .
Happy hunting !
Andre
