Synopsis:
The cyclic nature of PRX (see Appendix I) promoted incorporation of the ur-mitochondrium into the cell . A matching of supply and demand of ATP into a 24 hour cycle .
Discussion :
PRX invited Mitochondria into the cell , but the spin of mitochondria has ruled since . Melatonin as a Terminator anti-oxidant determines the frequency of the system . Which eventually ties it to the Terran day-night system

Spin-Mirror neuron networks .
Mitochondrial spins are connected to neural mirror-network spins via quantal connections .
Think two chain links spinning around themselves and also rotating around their circumference in harmony . This has a natural resonance with mitochondria . There is a mutual interaction . This is an old harmony wanting to reassert itself .
You have old , well-established neural mirror neuron networks just waiting for the right spins .
Longevity :
The normal system results from random distribution of mitochondrial spin . Some direction gives rise to the standard distribution curve of rapid result initially , tapering off .

Every memory changes over time .

Abstract
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) were generated in all oxygen-utilizing organisms. Peroxiredoxin II (Prx II) as one of antioxidant enzymes may play a protective role against the oxidative damage caused by ROS. In order to define the role of Prx II in organismal aging, we evaluated cellular senescence in Prx II(-/-) mouse embryonic fibroblast (MEF). As compared to wild type MEF, cellular senescence was accelerated in Prx II(-/-) MEF. Senescence-associated (SA)-beta-galactosidase (Gal)-positive cell formation was about 30% higher in Prx II(-/-) MEF. N-Acetyl-l-cysteine (NAC) treatment attenuated SA-beta-Gal-positive cell formation. Prx II(-/-) MEF exhibited the higher G2/M (41%) and lower S (1.6%) phase cells as compared to 24% and 7.3% [corrected] in wild type MEF, respectively. A high increase in the p16 and a slight increase in the p21 and p53 levels were detected in PrxII(-/-) MEF cells. The cellular senescence of Prx II(-/-) MEF was correlated with the organismal aging of Prx II(-/-) mouse skin. While extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) and p38 activation was detected in Prx II(-/-) MEF, ERK and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) activation was detected in Prx II(-/-) skin. These results suggest that Prx II may function as an enzymatic antioxidant to prevent cellular senescence and skin aging.

Abstract
Peroxiredoxins (Prxs) are peroxidases that catalyze the reduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS). The active site cysteine residue of members of the 2-Cys Prx subgroup (Prx I to IV) of Prxs is hyperoxidized to cysteine sulfinic acid (Cys-SO(2) ) during catalysis with concomitant loss of peroxidase activity. Reactivation of the hyperoxidized Prx is catalyzed by sulfiredoxin (Srx). Ethanol consumption induces the accumulation of cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1), a major contributor to ethanol-induced ROS production in the liver. We now show that chronic ethanol feeding markedly increased the expression of Srx in the liver of mice in a largely Nrf2-dependent manner. Among Prx I to IV, only Prx I was found to be hyperoxidized in the liver of ethanol-fed wildtype mice, and the level of Prx I-SO(2) increased to ≈30% to 50% of total Prx I in the liver of ethanol-fed Srx(-/-) mice. This result suggests that Prx I is the most active 2-Cys Prx in elimination of ROS from the liver of ethanol-fed mice and that, despite the up-regulation of Srx expression by ethanol, the capacity of Srx is not sufficient to counteract the hyperoxidation of Prx I that occurs during ROS reduction. A protease protection assay revealed that a large fraction of Prx I is located together with CYP2E1 at the cytosolic side of the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. The selective role of Prx I in ROS removal is thus likely attributable to the proximity of Prx I and CYP2E1. CONCLUSION: The pivotal functions of Srx and Prx I in protection of the liver in ethanol-fed mice was evident from the severe oxidative damage observed in mice lacking either Srx or Prx I.

Food Anti-Allergens.

Food Anti-Allergens
Andre Willers
28 Jul 2012
Synopsis :
Plants induce allergies in client-species when it does not suit them to be eaten . But then produce anti-allergens in competition with other plants when it suits them . The anti-allergens are found in sprouts . Strictly Darwinian Evolution .
Discussion :
This means that anti-allergens exist that switch off the allergic response . We merely have to find them .
This is intimately tied into diseases like diabetes , since there is some evidence that repeated and continual eating of any high-carbohydrate food like wheat or maize or rice will lead to a an activation of the immune system .
How does this work ?
Another episode in the plant-herbivore wars .
Plants are essentially r-type reproducers (see appendix II) . But they have evolved penalties for herbivores that eat their seeds before they are ripe . (As anybody who has ever eaten green apricots can attest) .
But there is an obvious niche : not all plants ripen at the same time . But a plant species would be more successful if it’s ripe seeds produces anti-allergens that negates the effects of a few still-unripe seeds .
This happened to all the cultivated cereal crops . See Appendix I .
It is a dual effect :
1.Crops get harvested earlier , without getting properly ripe
2.Humans don’t eat sprouts anymore .
For thousands of years , porridge and sprouts was the standard fare of peasants (the majority of the population). Grinding seeds gave higher yields if they had not started sprouting . The availability of anti-allergens fell sharply in civilized , wheat-grinding empires .

I strongly suspect , but cannot prove that one of these anti-allergens was a strong inhibitor of prion activity , specifically the prion promoting human fertility .
This means that finely ground wheat flour promotes fertility in humans . The driving force of Empires since Sumerian times .
Actually , a finely tuned feedback mechanism . Societies that have a large surplus , have a larger fertility rate because they can afford the milling . Really high-tech societies can afford to go back to simpler systems , which reduces the birthrate .
Sprouts :
The seed ripens . Starches are utilized into proteins and fibres . This is a crucial stage for the plant (ie r-type reproduction) . When it has maximal chances chances of reproduction .
(Neolithic proto-agricultarists planted seedlings , not seeds . It was not a mass production . Every seedling was coddled . Still is in high-production , low-energy environments . Yields were about 40 times , so it paid them to do it.)
The interesting thing is that active anti-allergens are formed in this period . In other words , all those nasties in Appendix I are deactivated .
Dosages : eating some sprouts once every 3 days should do the trick . The immune system normally triggers after about three days of the same food .
But the sprout is specific . You will need at least three : wheat , rice ,maize .
Seitan :
See Appendix III
This is gluten protein formed by washing away the starch . Analogeous to sprouts forming , but without anti-allergens forming . But it should be interesting to see what happens if some sprouts are mixed with seitan .
Very few molecules of anti-allergens would be needed . The anti-allergens would normally be specific to the plant (wheat , maize, rice) . So , a little of sprouts of these species mixed with seitan should ameliorate a large number of ailments .

Epigenetic factors :
Strong gradients in starch concentrations would activate anti-allergen genes . Something like sprouts or washing gluten proteins (seitan) in cold water (+- 4 Celsius) . Microparticles (bind concentration gradients) will help .

Bah . Eat sprouts of wheat , rice and maize with fried heavily salted fried potato chips .

At least you will die happy .
Andre.

Gluten immunochemistry
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The immunochemistry of Triticeae glutens is important in several inflammatory diseases. It can be subdivided into innate responses (direct stimulation of immune system), class II mediated presentation (HLA DQ), class I meditiated stimulation of killer cells, and antibody recognition. The responses to gluten proteins and polypeptide regions differs according to the type of gluten sensitivity. The response is also dependent on the genetic makeup of the human leukocyte antigengenes. In gluten sensitive enteropathy, there are 4 types of recognition, innate immunity (a form of cellular immunity priming), HLA-DQ, and antibody recognition of gliadin and transglutaminase. With idiopathic gluten sensitivity only antibody recognition to gliadin has been resolved. In wheat allergy, the response pathways are mediated through IgE against other wheat proteins and other forms of gliadin.

r/K selection theory
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In ecology, r/K selection theory relates to the selection of combinations of traits in an organism that trade off between quantity and quality of offspring. The focus upon either increased quantity of offspring at the expense of individual parental investment, or reduced quantity of offspring with a corresponding increased parental investment, varies widely, seemingly to promote success in particular environments. In this context, r-selection makes a species prone to numerous reproduction at low cost per an individual offspring, while K-selec

Appendix III
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheat_gluten_(food)
Wheat gluten, also called wheat meat, mock duck, gluten meat, or simply gluten, is a food made fromgluten, the main protein of wheat. It is made by washing wheat flour dough with water until all the starchdissolves, leaving insoluble gluten as an elastic mass which is then cooked before being eaten.
Wheat gluten is an alternative to soybean-based meat substitutes such as tofu. Some types of wheat gluten have a chewy or stringy texture that resembles meat more than other substitutes. Wheat gluten is often used instead of meat in Asian, vegetarian, Buddhist, andmacrobiotic cuisines. Simulated duck is a common use for wheat gluten.
Although wheat gluten was first developed in China, it has historically been popular in the cuisines of Japan and other East and Southeast Asian nations. In Asia, it is commonly found on the menus of restaurants catering primarily to Buddhist customers who do not eat meat.
Since wheat typically contains about 14 percent protein, roughly 86 percent[citation needed] of the original wheat flour may be disposed of or used as stock for soups. In industrial production of gluten, the leftover starch may be disposed of via the municipal sewage systems. Makers of gluten in towns and cities are typically charged a fee to dispose of their starch into the local sewage system[citation needed].

Occupy Wall St and Food Riots

Occupy Wall St and Food Riots
Andre Willers
28 Jul 2012
Synopsis :
Ostrum Spring : abrupt Hysterical Foci driven by food prices and shortages and focussed by social media like “Occupy Wall Street” will occur during September-October 2012 .
Discussion :
Drought in North America is already driving food prices higher than the last food riots in 2007 – 2008 . Social media has evolved as well and is better organised . The Establishment is in disarray due to poor governance of the banking sector . A superior system of governing communal resources is available .
Ostrum principles are better than capitalism , socialism . The Chinese version of State Capitalism is a form of Ostrum principles .
See
Appendix I (Hysterical Focus)
Appendix II (Ostrum and Hysterical focus)
Appendix III (Ostrum Principles)

Essentially , a revolution blows up from nowhere to overturn the existing order (a-la-Arab Spring) . Driven by desperation due to hunger and co-ordinated by social media . An Hysterical Focus forms that examines the problem from all angles and implements changes .
This Revolutionary structure is further fuelled by the destruction of the middle-class .
Especially in the USA . Hundreds of thousands of reservists have seen their careers destroyed and their dependents turned into homeless persons by prolonged forced military service in losing pet wars designed to benefit a small elite . Previously , they had little redress except rebellion . Now they have Ostrum and Social Media .
Better and fairer for all .
This is the revolution coming near you soon . Most probably during September-October 2012 .
An interesting aside :
The hysterical focus is already operational , as can be seen in the Rupert Murdock affair . A media moghul widely regarded as unassailable is slowly been dismantled . Something that can only be explained by the fact that a large hysterical focus transcends it’s elements .
Delicious !
One of the most amoral systems ever devised (the mass media) is forced into being moral . The same fate is waiting for bankers , politicians and capitalists .

Viva la Revolution !
Viva La Ostrum !

Hysterical Focus .
Financial Crisis 30 Apr 2009
Andre Willers
30 Apr 2009

Synopsis :
The movement of the Hysterical Focus from the Financial Crisis to the Mexican-flu Crisis enables the measures put into place to ameliorate the Financial Crisis to take effect without too much further interference from the Focus .

Discussion :
The Hysterical Focus .
The Friendly Giant .
The strong point of freedom-systems is the independent , multi-faceted , in-force approach to problems .
The weak point is the inability to concentrate forces when needed .
The evolutionary meme that evolved in the surviving societies was the Hysterical Focus .

"Hysterical" because all items outside the focus are excluded .
Humans are a hysterical species . Watch any group of apes in the zoo . This has evolved into a strong point .
They and the media have a very limited range . That is the whole point . (The Schwerpunkt , to be exact.)

"Focus" because all the resources of the society are mobilized on this particular problem .
(Think columns of armour advancing independently , then converging on the target co-ordinated by urgent command signals .
Blitz-krieg . The Hysterical Focus .)

This is very powerful , especially after mass-media was invented .
Anything in the Hysterical Focus gets amplified , examined from every angle . The whole resources of the society gets mobilized . Huge resources are allocated .

Long-term administrators use it to secure funding . Politicians , fashionistas and other various sundry hangers-on try to catch some of the largesse .
Media owners and journalists have a conceit that they steer the process , forgetting that they are just a part of the feedback process .

The Hysterical Focus has this teensy-weensy drawback : if it stays too long on one spot , the cure is worse than the disease .
The process lacks proper feedback-control safeguards . Something like an immune system overreacting (think SARS flu)

Normally , the Hysterical Focus moves on rapidly , as the short attention span of it's components (humans and media) is exhausted . Always a new Paris Hilton .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "The sources of the Nile"

The Financial Crisis was over in Oct 2008 (see previous posts on "Fin*******" in http://andreswhy.blogspot.com )
But the continued focus was beginning to harm recovery efforts by Apr 2009 .
Politicians (like Bush jr with 9/11) tried to keep the focus on the thing that gave them power , not realizing that more power is available by moving the focus on . Notice the adept use Clinton made of the effect .

So , the Mexican flu comes as a relief to the system . The Hysterical Focus has shifted to something that can be handled (since it has been handled before ) . Enormous resources will be allocated , careers will be made , institutes founded , bureaucracies initiated . The usual suspects .

The economic system will quietly rebound . The professionals would have gathered enough support to follow through on the enormous energies released on the problem while it was at the Hysterical Focus .

This is happening as we speak .

The economic consequences of Mexican Flu .
1.Food-production and distribution : nil .
Most food production not on subsistence level is done by machines with a few operators . Distribution is done by containerized holders or ships .

2.Others : these might even benefit , as costs are cut by limiting unnecessary travel .

3.The Losers: Third world countries . The tourism industry .

4.Big Winners : the gene-technology industry . A general flu vaccine was at the start of FDA certification . This will be fast-tracked . Vaccines in general might shift into a subsidiary Focus .

5. Short-term effects :
Barely a hiccup . Even if the mortality rate is 50% .
About 80% of the labour force is unnecessary to produce all the goods for society . The credit crunch means that they are not necessary for the consumer side , either .

6. Long-term effects : acceleration of change towards the singularity , as bio- and nano- safeguards are relaxed

The Hysterical Focus as an Artificial Intelligence .
This would be valid if there were boundary conditions . Even as is , I would classify it as AI(3.05) .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Artificial Intelligence"
It has one of the primary characteristics : elements of it (ie humans) cannot understand it or manipulate it successfully .
Infinite series like the reserve arguments are applicable , but is doubtful in steering . The system is self-aware to a degree (ie all those hardnosed editors , businessmen and politicians .)

This leads to some fascinating examples :

History and Power .
The Hysterical Focus is the fount of Power for humans . They fight and scheme to get there , then it burns them to frazzle .
Their problem was that they could not get out of the focus . It followed them .
Recent examples : LouisIV , Napoleon , Stalin , Hitler , Mao.
They were forced into playing the roles at the apex of power that they crafted themselves into .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Competition and Co-operation"
It turned them crazy . They were at most AI(2.25) , trying to handle problems AI(3.1) would be pressed for .

Those who managed to duck by passing the buck : (that we know of)
Washington (who did it while leaving a legacy) . Not bad for a farmer . Much underrated .
Kemal Ataturk (who showed that it can be done in the modern age)
Wellington (the Turtle-finger defence .) . Hunker down and show the Focus the Finger .

Washington was more effective , but Ataturk 's job was more difficult . Both were lucky . But Ataturk made most of his own luck by manipulating long-term probabilities .

Still , Washington managed to set up a system where the Hysterical Focus passes on fairly regularly (by declining the Kingship)
Ataturk did the same .

What does this have to do with the Financial Crisis on 30 Apr 2009 ?
Why , everything .
The systems are accustomed to a moving Hysterical Focus . Boundary conditions are slowly seeping in as the system evolves towards AI(4) . The USA is more comfortable with Turkey as an ally than with most European countries . (Their founders , Washington and Ataturk , were brothers under the skin.)

A quiet Spine is emerging : USA and Turkey , with Mexico and India as junior partners . High-tech with man-power . And a liveable compromise with Islam .

The whole Middle East is kept alive by US subsidies to Egypt ( Ramses would never have gotten into this fix!) .
If they cease this , Egypt has a choice of seizing the Saudi-Arabian oilfields or starving . Attacking Israel is not even an option .
But this window is rapidly passing (http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Negative Pressure : An Important Update ." ) .
July to Aug 2009 will see a big change .

The Hysterical Focus will pass to the Middle East , an ever popular destination . Why , if it did not exist , one might think that it would need to be invented .

The world economy would quietly knit itself back together .
The Bright Star has passed . For now .

The Lidless Eye .
Tolkien must have had some acquaintance with accountancy firms .

They see everything but observe nothing .

But the random Hysterical Focus overrides all . This threat will concentrate many minds wonderfully .

Isn't randomness a wonderful thing ?
The wicked does not flee when nobody pursues , but they damn'well do if there is a finite probability that the Lidless Eye will turn in their direction . Especially if the full force is at random .

Can you see the Lidless Eye sighing for the days of Mordor ?
At least it would have known what to with the Wizards of Enron .

Andre.

Appendix II
Hysterical Focus and Ostrum Commons
Andre Willers
20 Oct 2011

Synopsis :
Hysterical Foci spontaneously self-assemble if there are a critical number of Ostrum Commons Rules present .
There are Eight Ostrom Rules . General theory of Reserves suggest that any 1/3 of them (ie any 3 rules ) will lead to Self-assembly of an Hysterical Focus . Regardless of consequences .

Discussion :

1.Hysterical Focus :
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com “Inside the ignition of an hysterical focus” Jun 2010
Humans are an hysterical species . This was turned into a powerful advantage .
It evolved from early monkey and ape stages .

The attention and energies of the whole troop is co-opted (ie involuntary) and co-ordinated onto one single subject . This happens in the amygdala and hippocampus .

Fast forward to humans , and you have fashion (a mild form) or an Hysterical Focus .
All the resources of the group is devoted to the problem in an involuntary fashion .
No human is immune .
Individual considerations are overridden at very deep levels .

The stuff Revolutions are made from .
A highly successful method of breaking false optimal peaks

2.Ostrum Commons :
The system formed a Commons , resolvable in three ways :
2.1Tragedy of the Commons (Communism) Cf Aral Sea
2.2Private ownership(Capitalism) Cf Economic crashes
2.3Ostrum Commons .
This lost out in competition because it is essentially a fractal Small-system , dependant on good communication . It kept bubbling up in peasant revolts , but could never self-cohere .
This changed with electronic communication systems like facebook , twitter, telephone ,etc .
Unstoppable now . Over a certain quantitive threshold , the network changes quantitively.

3.Self-Assembly :
Any three Ostrum rules present will result in the spontaneous self-assembly of the other Rules .
The Dear Reader can prove this himself/herself .(Hint:look at overlapping dimensionalities of the Rules)
Or they can cheat and look at http://andreswhy.blogspot.com “New Tools” Nov 2008 .
If there is a sufficient density of communication , an Hysterical Focus will form . And we are off to the races . A fertile field of future research .

4.Some interesting properties of Hysterical Foci :
4.1They don't stop . Once ignited , the Focus continues until the goals are met or the information links have been smashed (not possible today , even with a nuclear war). Hunkering down and waiting until it dies down does not work .
4.2There are no leaders initially . Decoying the structure into an hierarchical system has been an old counter . Not possible with a large number of alternate information pathways , or the awareness of Ostrum Rules .
4.3The individual members of the Hysterical Focus follow group rules , not self-interest .
Your old-fashioned Revolutionaries .
4.4Nobody is immune . It is as deep as your genes .
4.5Politicians , PR and advertising firms have become aware of the effect and are trying to harness it .
Sigh . It is a Beth(2) system , and it will always turn in their hands .

Hysterically yours
Andre

A powerful example :
China :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Household-responsibility_system
History
Politicians did not initiate the household-responsibility system : local villagers developed it as an experiment later applied nationwide.
Allocating farmlands to individuals or to families rated as a crime during the Mao era in China, but the low-level productivity under collective farming and drought forced villagers ofXiaogang, Fengyang to do so in 1978. They implemented this system secretly, and signed a contract, "if any one of us is put to prison as a result, others shall be responsible for taking care of his children until they reach 18 years of age".
The secret experiment proved very successful. In 1979 similar experiments began inSichuan and Anhui provinces, both seeing dramatic increases in agricultural productivity.Deng Xiaoping openly praised these experiments in 1980, and the system has been adopted nationwide since 1981.

Ostrum Principles
The Ostrum Game
Andre Willers
30 Oct 2011

“One Game shall bind them all .” , ( with apologies to Tolkien)
“This time , we know for sure the grass is greener somewhere”
“A Revolution , any Revolution.”

Synopsis :
A Game for Grown-ups .
The Eight Ostrum Design Principles are Meta-rules that generate self-consistent sets of rules that encompasses competition , co-operation , catastrophe , hierarchies and other systems undreamt of , all between discrete , interacting , self-organising systems .
Your avatar can go from SecondLife to Simworld , to War Worlds , to any desired locale .
Reality becomes a subset .

Discussion :
1.An incredible amount of money can be made .While money still has some meaning .
Without too much work . See Para 8 in Appendix A
Each Game Company is a base nested institution .
They bind easily together , releasing a lot of energy and money .
Explosive Feedback Synergism .
A run-up to the Singularity .

2.Feedback between Games and Reality :
The Meta-rules make no differentiation between Game-characters and Real-characters .
Indeed , many Real-characters have been spun into Game-characters , and vice-versa .
Think Sherlock Holmes , MacGyver , Gauss , young Werther etc
See “mirror-neuron networks” , any soap opera , etc .

Real-life problems get treated the same way as Game problems . The more diverse and sophisticated the Game interactions become , the more effect on any real or Game system .
Eventually , they become undistinguishable as technology progresses .

3.The Grass is provably greener somewhere .
Long known as a wishful thinking fallacy , until Ostrum published the Design Principles in 1990 .
This was the trigger event of under-the-surface knowledge about Ostrum Rules building up .
Suddenly , it became possible .

A Phase-change in the noosphere occurred .

It meant that a Disaster of the Commons or an Empire was not inevitable . Grandchildren could survive .

WE CAN MAKE THE GRASS GREENER , EVEN IF WE HAVE TO PAINT IT ONE BLADE AT A TIME .

Enormous tensions began surfacing . These effects are still playing out now .
A really , really major Hysterical Focus started forming , and is still intensifying .

Now , are you surprised that 1990 was the year of huge revolutions , when the USSR collapsed ?

The Ostrum Game beat the Ring of Power .

And you have not seen anything yet .

The pace of Revolutions is intensifying .
A good thing , if Homo wishes to escape extinction .

4.Automating Ostrum Rules :
They might be Meta-rules , but they are still rules .
We can certainly write programs that can serve to guide past most of the pitfalls and suggest alternatives .

5.Multicellular Bodies as Commons :
We can certainly analyze bodies in terms of Commons . The Dear Reader will find many interesting things if he does that .
Note the emphasis on communication .
Talk to your body . Aloud . And listen in the silences in between .
Create a virtual body and note the interactions .
Use the Ostrum Design principles .

6.Singularity :
It is immediately obvious that humans are then not limited to Real biochemical definitions of personality . The emphasis on communication means that personalities are distributed across Real and Game spaces . The Game space personality segments are only limited by internal non-contradictory rules . That can be done via Ostrum Design principles .

Not exactly instantaneous , but I can intuit that the time can be calculated . It would be less than real time .
The putative developing system would have ethical constraints on abandoning Real-part personalities under Ostrum Rules .
Told you it would be kindler , gentler .

7.Phase Change :
The system has already undergone an irrevocable phase change in 1990 .
You can fast-forward the rest .

8.Did Ostrum know what she was unleashing ?
The Revolutionary aspects , nearly certainly .
In her quiet way , she is one of the greatest Revolutionaries in Homo Sapiens history . Worthy of being called a Matriarch .

The Singularity aspect is more uncertain . She certainly knew that she unleashed major fairness , but the phase-change in the Noosphere I do not know .
Still , a tour-de-force .

How do feel like being a pet of your avatar ?

Andre .

Macro-Quantum Lasers.

Macro-Quantum Lasers
Andre Willers
25 Jul 2012
Synopsis:
Macroparticles (order of 1 mm diameter) is used to generate tunable laser light .
Discussion :
Appendix I adequately covers the existence theorem . To describe it adequately in classical quantum mechanical terms you will have to take into account the constraints : ie the shape of the container , at least .
The shape of the container is simply an inverted antenna . And there is extensive knowledge about antennae smaller than the wavelength , design using automated Genetic Algorithms , sound systems , etc .
Note that sound and ordinary light are being used as energy pumps .
Nothing too exotic . Has been done , been there .
We can thus create a simple brute-force , focussed laser .
The Kicker :
Scaleability :
Being macroscopic , the entire system is scaleable . Power can be added simply by scaling up . And you can do it in your garage !
Big , cheap lasers .

xxx
An interesting aside :
There has been persistent anecdotal evidence of anomalous physical effects due to resonant sounds through the ages . This has been difficult to reconcile with a Newtonian outlook . But quantum effects arising from simple interactions between vibrations in mechanical media (sound) and EM media (light) in a matrix of discontinuous matter reminds me of Stonehenge , Carnac , etc . Fits the definition . The Ley lines would then be both sound and light conductive channels . Not any light , but laser light . Suitable for weapons use .

It is amusing to speculate that those “useless” channels in the pyramids are actually massive laser-sound wave-guides . There should then have been focussing and steering systems at their exits . I have not looked , but I presume these exits are aligned with significant other points in the Old Order . The point of it all .
This was a broadcast system . Genomes and chaperones at the designed “quantum frequencies” had access to the higher energy levels .But there was conflict . Single-point-of failure ensured eventual mutual self-destruction .
Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) . And somebody pulled the trigger .
If the Ancients were using energies of this order , there will be nothing left of their target areas . The only way to find them would be from the exit-directions of these channels .
Finding the Hidden Cities :
Actually , more like little towns . They didn’t go in for mass technology . Look for the gaps between the exits of wave-channel exits . They were well aware of it . Which is why they tried to have as many locations as possible . There are not so many locations which are in null-grounds .
Still , some hardened underground sites would have survived . Their ruins would be accessible today . Unfortunately , it is doubtful if present humans could use the technology . Not only would it be alien to present worldviews , but it also relied on a massive infrastructure , which only exists in damaged form .
Some other ruins (aside from humans) have survived .
See Appendix II . Bioconstructs that have the capability of superconduction of electrons at high temperatures . They can also do it for H+ . Actually , they were reverse engineered from H+ motor of Mitochondrial systems .
Humans plugged into this broadcast system would appear like gods to norms . Extremely high energy availability , rapid healing , very strong , extreme longevity , leading to the capability of steering cell-growth (we are close to it).
Was the Matriarchy involved ? Almost certainly .
See Appendix III
The matriarchy constructed this rather overkill-system first , and competitive elements copied it . This unfortunately ended up as a conflict between sexes . The Matriarchs lost , but not without dragging everybody down with them .
Interesting times indeed , as major population centers were crisped and gods were fried .
What is more interesting is that remnants of the Matriarchy still has the capability of using the remains of the old technology . Given their propensity for bioengineering , the control codes are probably encoded into the genes and epigenes and prions especially , of the Matriarchal descendants .
In other words , the broadcast technology had a self-repair built in . There is a feedback system , resonating with certain DNA and methylations and prions .
An ancient sentient weapon system ,after repairing itself , is combing through planetary genomic structures , looking for a command sequence and having to deal with millions of part-matches . I am sure that descendants of the Matriarchy are frantically trying to get control of it .
But the system has escaped into Beth(3) . It had failsafes to annihilate all life in case of failure , but did not follow them because of attack damage . In the repair process , it bootstrapped to higher Beth levels .
Essentially , nobody can regain control of it . Only make friends .
Does this sound familiar ?
Notice how conspiracy theories are more attractive than real life , because of the higher information density .
Does real life follow the conspiracies ? The Shadow knows .

But they had no Ostrum Principles to reconcile the opposites , and destroyed themselves .
An interesting speculation .

Shaking metallic grains turns them into tunable laser

PUTTING a jar full of metal beads on a subwoofer makes more than just a rattle. Add light and it can become a laser that changes frequency when the beads are shaken harder. Such a tunable laser could lead to crisper projected images and help unlock the mysterious behaviour of granular materials, seen in sand castles, dunes and avalanches.
Ordinary lasers work by bouncing photons back and forth between two semi-transparent mirrors separated by a medium such as a crystal or a gas. The medium is chosen so that as the photons travel through it, they stimulate atoms to emit new photons - all with exactly the same wavelength, phase and direction - which build the beam.
In the past decade, physicists have set about building so-called random lasers, which turn that picture inside out by embedding the mirrors - often a suite of tiny grains - inside the medium. Random lasers have been shown to remove the speckling from images created by laser projectors, but the grains used were small, making them hard to control and sensitive to temperature changes.
To address these problems, Claudio Conti at the Sapienza University of Rome in Italy and his colleagues went big. They dropped about 1500 metal spheres, each a millimetre or so in diameter, into a rectangular container with a solution of rhodamine B, which gives off light when excited, and shone light at it. Switching the subwoofer on caused the spheres to bounce inside the fluid, effectively suspending them like the smaller particles in other random lasers.
The spheres acted like mirrors and laser light was emitted in all directions. This multi-directionality is typical of random lasers. Though the light is less intense than a conventional laser, it can be marshalled for a variety of applications.
But unlike in previous random lasers, Conti's team can tune their granular laser to emit different laser light. Turning up the subwoofer produced laser light of a second wavelength, for example, while some types of shaking produced two wavelengths at once - a "laser chord" (Physical Review Letters, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevLett.108.248002). "To our knowledge this is the first time that this kind of controlled effect has been observed," Conti says.
He believes the tunability is a result of the poorly understood properties of granular materials, in which grains are individually solid but can also flow as a group like a liquid or a gas. This split personality may be why patterns form in sand dunes, even though each sand grain moves randomly. Similarly, the beads in the laser moved randomly when they were shaken, yet exhibited patterns in their distance from each other that changed with shaking frequency. "Randomness has a richness, in this sense," says Conti.
As the laser light can act as a read-out of the underlying granular structure, Conti thinks the spheres could help reveal why granular materials behave so strangely - how avalanches travel, for example, or why sand castles don't immediately fall apart.
Cefe López at the Materials Science Institute of Madrid in Spain agrees: "This study, I'm sure, is going to help in studying these complex systems."

Giant living power cables let bacteria respire
• 29 June 2012 by Sara Reardon

IT IS the ultimate in subsea communications: bacteria living in sulphurous mud beneath the seabed respire by transforming themselves into long, insulating cables and shuttling electrons from one to another. This phenomenon has now been imaged for the first time, allowing us to see how some microbes pull off such a feat.
Some bacteria get energy by oxidising the hydrogen sulphide gas in the sediment on the ocean floor. Because there is no oxygen in the sediment to accept the electrons that are produced, bacteria such as Geobacter grow tiny filaments along which the electrons travel until they reach the oxygen in the seawater. This allows the respiration reaction to be completed.
To find out how other bacteria solve this problem, Lars Peter Nielsen of Aarhus University in Denmark and colleagues used an electron microscope to image electrically conducting Desulfobulbus bacteria in sediment samples. They found that individual bacteria, despite being only 3 to 4 micrometres long, are capable of organising themselves into giant power cables made up of several thousand bacteria. These cables can stretch to around 1 centimetre in length, connecting the deepest bacteria living in low-oxygen conditions with those in high-oxygen areas (see diagram).
As the bacterial cells divide, the team found, they remain trapped end to end inside an ever-growing cable made up of their outer membranes. This sheath has internal fibrous ridges running along its length. It is unclear whether these fibres carry the electrons or act as insulation to help the electrons flow more quickly through the cells. Nielsen presented his group's findings at theAmerican Society for Microbiology's general meeting in San Francisco this week.
The images show the extent of the bacteria-communications network - a cubic centimetre of sediment can contain up to 1 kilometre of compacted cable. As Desulfobulbaceae can span both the oxygen-poor and oxygen-rich regions of the seabed, the bacterial colony can monopolise sulphide oxidation in the soil, preventing other bacteria from using the resource. "It's smart evolution," says Prathap Parameswaran, who studies conducting microbes at Arizona State University in Phoenix.
The most important question to answer now is how the electrons are carried, says Yuri Gorby of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Once researchers understand the physics, they will be able to make "some remarkable biological achievements", he says, ranging from understanding biogeochemical formations, creating medical devices that mimic the electron transmission, and using the bacteria to clean up contaminated areas.

Appendix III
The Origins of War and Peace
Andre Willers
20 April 2007
( see previous discussions in http://andreswhy.blogspot.com)

Synopsis :
War is when a society sanctions other humans as prey .
If the other humans belong to another society , it is Classical War . If not , it is a Police Action .
Endless fun is had by playing around with the definitions of “human” (Nazis) , “society” (religions , political movements , criminals , etc) .

Discussion:
Humans have a hard-wired brain center that classifies something as “prey” . Once this switch has tripped and the fixation has taken place , it is extremely difficult to change.

Evolutionary , it derived from pack-behaviour .
Pack hunters need to identify the chosen prey which the pack-leader has designated . The pointers derive from the leader’s social behaviour like pointing , eye-fixation , words etc .
Then they need to fixate on this prey to exclusion . (The nuts-and-bolts neuronal arrangement can be traced back to infant-imprinting.)

Successful packs are those that can focus the full pack on a particular prey , even if individual members of the pack might suffer injury or death .

A subsidiary hard-wired complex developed monitoring fellow-pack members . Any attack has to have some co-ordination . Call this Social-feeling .

Counting :
An iterative counting brain center that could count to three evolved .
(This center’s precise location has been identified (via fMRI). Rendering it inoperative (via magnetic focused pulse) led to a normally very rare inability to gut-feel numbers . Like reading by consulting a child’s primer every step .) Called anacalculus .

Us , Them ,Prey .
Each system is iteratively further broken down into threes , etc .

Three is necessary , since Us and Them is insufficient .
The Prey has to be identified , leading to Them being broken up into Them and Prey .

An intriguing corollary is that while the sets Us and Them may comprise many diverse elements , the Prey has to be constrained to one easily identified element . This explains why hate merchants like Hitler , the schoolyard bully , etc pick on specifics . Why neighbours who know each other kill neighbours in Uganda . Why the wife/husband is the most frequent unsanctioned homicidal victim .

There can only be One Prey .
(Apologies to the Highlander.)
Certain elements in martyr religions can be more easily understood this way .

Packs .
Packs are innate in any organism that cares for it’s young .
Parent(s) + kids = pack .
Iterative congeries across time of genetic relationships leads to complicated social relationships ( see inheritance of dominance in monkeys ,etc)

Human ancestors underwent a prolonged period of being cursorial raptors , developing pack behaviour on a genetic and social level to a high degree . This was convergent evolution with dogs . It is no wonder then that dogs and humans understand each other at such a deep , non-verbal level .

Parts of humans are the same as dogs .

Query : Why the insult of calling somebody a dog , a cur , a son-of-a-bitch etc ?
Answer : The insult is to the human being addressed , expressing dominance , not to dogs . In many cases , the only cultural referent understood by both human parties were doggish loyalty , which translated as slavishness between enemies . Indeed , many humans expressed their loyalty as being dogs of their ruler .

The dogs of war :
An interesting bit of propaganda by the Condottierri to put a spin on their faithless conduct .

Cannibalism .
Let’s face it , our ancestors ate each other until about 72 000 years ago .
The population density was low , making disease like kourou unlikely .
A large number of hominid evolutionary steps were driven by genetic deficiencies , necessitating obligate hunting . ( see previous discussions in http://andreswhy.blogspot.com)

Prey was everybody else except Us . This is the default Homonid setting .

MkI Homo Sapiens .

They evolved around 150 000 to 200 000 years ago .
The body was small by our standards , with little sexual dimorphism . The males were not much bigger , stronger or more aggressive than the females .
Great strength was not needed when hunting with weapons , snares and nets .
Indeed , big mass was selected against because of the significant higher energy needs that made starving to death much more likely during down-turns like droughts . Remember , there was little surplus and no way to store it .

Language was the main purview of the females . Gossiping and politics . The females were the central point of each group , together with the children . The males formed a cloud around this group . But arrangements were very loose and easy , as the living was easy .

Numbers were small , game was plentiful and other hominids made nice little packages of essential nutrients for these obligate hunters .

There is no culture as we even vaguely understand the term .

This was the end-line of development of pre-cultural homonins .

The default was that all not-Us were prey . ( Not War , not Peace , but anarchy)

MkII Homo Sapiens .

The Invention of Peace .

Then Toba happened . (72 000 BC )
The supervolcano in Indonesia caused the equivalent of a nuclear winter across the globe . Snow fell in equatorial regions and there was mass die-off of plants and their dependant animals .

The cold and hunger caused a concentration of numbers around some volcanic hotspots in the highlands of East Africa ( Remember , it snowed on the equator) . It did not happen all at once , so refugees fluxed into the survivable spots . In this crucible , human culture was invented . The numbers were small enough that certain existing epigenetic centers in the brain/body were forced evolved .

Remember , it took centuries for the land to recover .
From the genetic bottle-neck evidence , human numbers fell to between 3 000 and 10 000 . These are extinction levels
Cannibalistic diseases and inbreeding are particularly vicious in small , poorly nourished communities like these .

Co-operation and expansion of the gene-pool was essential .

The surviving communities were the ones where females took control and forced co-operation by designating non-prey .

In other words , the females ( probably led by some redoubtable dowager ) , invented Peace , and what’s more , enforced it .

This was Humanity’s greatest invention . The woman who did it deserves a Nobel prize for each year her Peace lasted .

Population was rigorously kept to sustainable levels by Matriarchal control of breeding lines and birthrates .

They did it so well that the Peace lasted about 60 000 years .
Note that the American and Australian continents where massive and quick animal extinctions took place , were populated from areas probably outside matriarchal control . Note also that the continent with the most extant animal megafauna (Africa) was where the matriarchy originated . Not too shabby ,eh?

One effect was thus the extreme taboo against cannibalism . This is an epigenetic inheritance ( ie data transmitted by mother to offspring , not in the DNA , but not cultural either .)

Inherent in this is that the Prey designation mechanism (now also epigenetic) came under social control . Elaborate rite-of-passage ceremonies evolved to certify an organism as human . (Failures were killed or expelled)

High on the list was Prey designation : hence the emphasis on starving candidates . The original rites featured humans as prey , and the candidate who could not control himself , failed .

This became putting off present gratification for future reward , what we think of as defining feature of cultural humans .

This also means the invention of religion , since the reward can be put off into the hereafter .

They also invented clothing , many uses of fire , hairdressing , makeup , jewelry , beads , gourmet cooking and the other things that make life worthwhile

Co-operating instead of hunting each other made trade and diversication of labour possible . Tools increased in sophistication from about 70 000 BC .

There was a significant human mutation in genes controlling brain growth . This has been very roughly dated as occurring about 40 000 – 50 000 years ago . The significance is not known , but it is speculated that it has to do with the growth of human culture .

The culture was explosively radiative . The advantages of a better and richer life through the material benefits sucked in even non-human homonins ( hence the gene mixing) . Anti-social elements were designated Prey and declared outlaw (this is what it means . The ultimate sanction then and now . Declared non-human , their only options were to die or to flee . )

When these MkII Humans exploded out of Africa , they did not kill the Neanderthals and Sinienses found in Europe and Asia . Their prey instincts were under social control .

Hence the interbreeding results now being found in the fossil record or the genetic evidence of the human flea .
( Some skeletons found indicate a mixture of Neanderthal and Homo Sapiens . Doubtlessly , more will be certain once the Neanderthal genome has been sequenced in about three years . More certain seems recent evidence of Siniens interbreeding , especially the genetic evidence that some species of human lice seemed to have crossed over back to Homo Sapiens from Siniens(Erectus) . The main-line Homo Sapiens fleas evolved into head and body lice after the invention of clothing after Toba .)

The other Sexes of Man
(see http://andreswhy.blogspot.com “The Sexes of Man”)
An intriguing speculation is that various null-sexes and homosexes got an evolutionary push from the reduced fertility in crossbreeding between MkII Homo and other various cousins that were subsumed into the Homo gene-cultural pool . This would have had a major effect on the evolution of the meme of property and inheritance .

MkII Humans .
What did they look like ?

The closest survivors we have are the Bushmen .

The female is the basic unit . There is little sexual dimorphism . The male is slightly larger than the female , but not significantly better muscled or more aggressive . Weapons and intelligence are more important in hunting than strength .
Females are the cultural guardians and control the group , both epigenetically and culturally .

Their Culture:
In fertile regions , the females and children form a nucleus with a floating cloud of males . Females select males to have children , either from personal taste or by direction of the Matriarchy . As expected , about 90% of males do not have children , as the females all select the alpha-males . This creates tension .

A Matriarchy .

Overpopulation was kept under check by infanticide of weaklings (bushmen , greeks , romans) . The limits of population were precisely known after literally tens of thousands of years of hunter-gatherer interactions .

An extremely stable form of government .

MkIII Homo Sapiens .
As can be seen from the above , the matriarchs naturally thought in terms of selective breeding . Hence their invention of agriculture and domesticated animals . (The were the finest genetic engineers the planet has yet seen , including the present poseurs.)

Yet the invention of both held the seeds of their destruction .

Domestication of animals and agriculture (circa 10 000 years ago) went hand-in-hand . Even today , most agricultural produce go to feed animals .

The net effect was a population explosion .

The old methods of estimating the carrying capacity of the land did not work with this new-fangled agriculture . The large groups of feral males expelled into the borderlands during the last 60 000 years now also increased in numbers due to end of the Ice-Age . They could be hired by surplus agricultural produce and promise of breeding women .

The matriarchs now had physical locations they had to defend against marauding clouds of feral males or males from other villages . Down-turns ( drought , winters , etc) made it worse . The inexorable logic of evolution means that no matter how many times you succeed , only one failure is enough to destroy you .

Increasing populations had led to population centers (cities) , that traded . Trade on this scale unleashed what we would call globalization . Cheaper produce and manufactures from the peripheries destroyed the livelihood of local farmers and artisans . The resulting social unrest necessitated breeding warriors from the outside stock to keep control for the oligarchy of matriarchs and priestesses .

This happened over a period of about 6 000 years . ( A Matriarchy is a really , really stable form of government .)

The result was an arms-race . The matriarchs either deliberately , or as a desperation measure , bred males for aggression and strength . This was easy in a culture that already practiced infanticide and death-by-neglect . Nubile females were directed only to mate with the jocks . Breeding stock was imported or required as tribute from the Outlands ( cf remnants like Theseus , etc)

The social structure (what we would call the Bronze Age) slowly broke down .
The Matriarchs also designated the competing groups as prey to their warrior clouds . War had arrived ..

MkIII Homo Sapiens was the result .
There is marked sexual dimorphism . The male is significantly bigger , but also grossly overpowered . Sinews and bones break continually from the overbred power .

The biggest difference is in aggression and Social-feeling . (see above)
There is a positive feedback between Aggression and Fellow-feeling . A large group focusing on a prey is more successful if the elements of the group share values more intensely . All we need to add is that large numbers of combatants are more successful than small numbers (generally true for low-energy weapons) , and you have an Army and War .

Social-Feeling:
The increase in social-feeling leads to large hysterical-type religions , and (not too put too fine a point on it ) large mobs .

The other whammy :
Horses .
Villages on the edges of the Ukrainian Steppes domesticated horses . Over hundreds of years , young men drifted into the steppes . Matriarchs could not follow them , since a pregnant woman cannot ride . The result was the formation of the Sky Gods religions . The horsemen turned around and made the originating villages their fiefs . From this basis they exploited every weakness of the Matriarchs .
Patriarchal religion arises .

The big Crack.

The collapse of the Late Bronze Age civilization (see http://andreswhy.blogspot.com)

This was not an overnight affair , but the later stages makes “Apocalypto” look like a picnic .

It was a combination of factors :
The breakdown of the social systems led to continual internecine warfare between city-states (ie groups of Matriarchs) . The males were being force-bred to be bigger and more aggressive . Then a climate shift caused a series of prolonged droughts from about 6 000 to 4 000 BC , seriously increasing unrest . The destruction of Minoan sea-power due to tsunamis and the inability to rebuild their fleet because they had denuded all readily accessible timber was the last straw . It took about 200 years , but the resultant spasm of war , destruction and cannibalism destroyed the matriarchies around the Middle-East and the Mediterranean .

The horse patriarchs swept over the remains and stamped patriarchal memes very firmly on the twitching remains .

Some Matriarchal memes remained in the far-west (Britain) . Hence the Druids .
Egypt and some surviving cities in the middle-east retained underground matriarchal cults ( Isis , Cybele , Earth Mother , etc , etc)

The Romans destroyed the corrupted Druid remnants .

The Roman Catholic Church later incorporated the main elements of the surviving matriarchy in the Roman Empire in the female saints and the Virgin Mary . The rest were ruthlessly exterminated . (Literally)

The only remnants of the Matriarchy that had ruled for nearly 70 000 years were some nunneries . Even here they were meme controlled ( Brides of Christ : ie connected to a male .)

Islam did the same . Note that the nun’s habit is identical with the chador .

It makes one wonder : why did the Council of Nicea decide on such a radical step ?
After all , the Roman Empire toward the end had little sex-discrimination . Constantinople had many empresses .

Why did the West suppress matriarchies ?

The suspicion arises that they did it because they felt threatened .

A meme structure like the Matriarchy that thinks in terms of 70 000 thousands of years and selective breeding of generations does not let a temporary hiatus of 5 000 years stop them . Indeed , elementary consideration would show that this could not have been the first or only reverse . Thus , they would have evolved mechanisms to survive what they consider temporary setbacks , together with some aggressive bounce-back mechanisms .

They probably tried to take over control of the Roman Catholic Church and the Western Empire . The Church destroyed most evidence , but there is Constantine’s mother , a taverners daughter who came up with some serious money to hire troops .

The killer , though , was probably the shenanigans with Attila . The Western Court at the time was even a bigger nest of snakes than usual . This was also the last time women played a significant role . If Aetius had not stopped Attila , the West would probably be a matriarchy now .

The Patriarchal meme-set seems to be long-lasting , but scared .
Some examples :
The refusal to aid Constantinople in 1453 . Indeed , the whole split . The West feels more comfortable with a patriarchal Islam than a matriarchy . Even so , Turkey seems to have been hit by a double whammy from the women : Naksh , and the enfolding and vanishment of the Circassians circa 1820 .

For those not up to speed :
Naksh (the Beautiful ) was a cousin of Josephine Bonaparte . They both came from Martinique and both became Empresses . Naksh was captured by Barbary pirates , and given as a virgin present to the Sultan . She must have been something exceptional , since he made her his principal and only wife , and more importantly , allowed her to educate her son the heir . This guy broke (well ,exterminated) the Janisseries (no mean feat) . He embarked the Ottoman Empire on the route that led to Turkey of today being a secular Islamic state (the only one) .

The Circassians were a tribe in the Caucasian mountains that reputedly for thousands of years bred their women for beauty and then sold them . This is like saying Elizabeth Taylor or Madonna is a slave . As you can imagine , even if it was not a matriarchal scheme to start off with , it would not be soon before the women ran the scheme . Reputedly , their beauty approached super-image quality , to such an extent that they had to be veiled so as not to drive men mad with visions of unattainability .

Of course the other side of the coin is more likely . For 60 000 years the matriarchy had bred and perfected women that could freeze men’s souls with their beauty and pheromones (cf Sirens , Circe , Gorgons , etc) . Brainy too . So the Circassians were breeding the beauty out , not in , to fit with modern society .

By 1820 they had to move , as the entire Caucasus mountains became very unsafe due to the Russian Empire expanding . Bullets or cannons do not care about beauty . The entire tribe moved to Constantinople and was not heard of again (of course) .

An interesting note here is that they probably had a copy of the Library of Constantinople . Very probably many of the originals . One of those ironies of history is that the Library everyone is looking for (including most of the Library of Alexandria) is right back where it started . A further ironic note is that Templars got obliterated mainly for having a copy . Contaminated by the Matriarchy . Fallout was the Albigensians and the Spanish Inquisition .

The question is : what on earth did the matriarchy do to provoke such an extreme response , one that has reverberated for thousands of years ? Even the memory of the deeds are gone (except maybe in some dusty archive) , but the emotions evoked still seem to be alive .

The only thing I can think of is a monstrous betrayal and perversion of the very bedrock of the Matriarchy’s social contract : when things got bad , they designated their people they considered useless as Prey and ate them .

This is like the Pope cutting out some nice fat American tourists on St Peter’s square and having a braai , with them as the guests of honour on the spit , all the while intoning that they should be honoured to serve .

Worse . Christianity has ritual cannibalism . No wonder this has reverberated down the ages . And it must have gone on for at least 200 years .

Shit . And I thought the high death rate in the Late Bronze age collapse was due to the quick conquest by the Sea Peoples . Instead , for hundreds of years the matriarchy and attendant nobles ate their people . The logic from their point is that the plebs should be honoured to feed their betters who know better and would be able to pull things together once the drought ends . And even when the drought ended , they could not stop . They were caught in the vested interests and , besides , it would take years before trade picked up and their shares paid a decent dividend .

The Sea Peoples were what we would call Liberators and Freedom Fighters . The capital letters are justified . Not even the Nazis or the Soviets ate the inmates of the camps , never mind put them in camps just for this purpose .

I always wondered how Rameses III could trust the Sea Peoples after the battle of the Nile to withdraw to southern Palestine . How could they exist if the area was so drought stricken ? But it wasn’t . It could support a lesser number , but not the overpopulated cities before . He had to promise to cleanse his country as well .Something he was not averse to .

But besides that , the Sea Peoples were fighting to cleanse the world of a great evil . The last holdout was in Egypt . They would have kept coming . All of them had family that was eaten .

This monumental blunder took place after the invention of agriculture , when overpopulation got out of control . I presume the present Matriarchy is determined not to make the same mistake . Overpopulation is once again out of control .

A note to the Matriarchy :
Kindly do not attempt to dispose of the surplus biomass through your stomach . It did not work too well 5 000 years ago . This time you will get crispies all round . The contract of 72 000 years ago is that either all pull through , or none do . Got it ?

The crucial Patriarchal meme:
No woman shall be without a connection with some male .

It does not matter if the male is a father , brother , husband ,son ,etc .
The intention is to prevent the build-up of a purely female powerbase . (ie a Matriarchy)

It worked for about 5 000 years .

Why it broke down :
The hidden assumption:
A high death rate due to high female death rate in childbirth .
This assumption steadily diverged from reality since about 1850 , as asepsis and birth procedures progressed .

The result was that woman outlived men by about 7 years on average . Rich woman in the US inheriting all their husband’s assets is a bigger percentage since the 1920’s . The US is a matriarchy by now .

Some symptoms:
Some 66% of US families have only one parent , namely the mother .
Crime rates have increased . This is because clouds of males are forming ,without matriarchal systems to keep them in control . At the levels of aggression and
testosterone the females have bred into them , only one thing will work :

UltraMama
A discreet word with Marvel Comics or some games designer might be appropriate .
And please , not SuperMama . Every Mama is a SuperMama .

MkIV Homo Sapiens .

Around 1800 the New Model Homo Saps was rolled out .
The new model is emotionally cool and is inclined to compulsive behaviour .
It welcomes uberbabes , but vehemently rejects a role as appetizer or even main course .

Aggression is not impulsive , but compulsive .
This is epigenetic .

This means that he can only be reasoned with . Emotional pressure points like fear , hate , love will play no role in behaviour .

Once an aggressive course is determined , nothing will stop it except superior force or logic .

The development of industrial technology required people that can concentrate for hours at a time on technical things like lathes , mathematics , etc , etc . The Fellow-feeling center in the brain suddenly became the cannon-fodder center .

A previous pathology ( Autism spectrum ) was dusted off and selection pressures are busily selecting and modifying . Aspergers (which did not exist before , suddenly is a desirable condition . The rough edges are being filed off .

It also means that the political control both Patriarchies and Matriarchies had is evaporating . The levers are turning to mush under their fingers .

Both have failed . They think the solution is in killing off their constituents when things get tough . This is no longer a viable solution from their viewpoint , as they have already lost control of the technical aspects . They are the most likely ones to do the tumbrel dance when things go ape .

Spinning nano - Bubbles

Spinning Nano-Bubbles
Andre Willers
23 Jul 2012
Synopsis :
Spinning bubbles with a membrane enables shrinkage down to nanoscale bubbles .
Discussion :
See Appendix I : Impossibubbles
Briefly , the bubbles form initially because of discontinuous energy in phase-changes . Usually gas-liquid . The gasses do not distribute evenly , because the whole system is under accelleration : gravity , coriolis(earthspin) , electric charge (ionosphere) , magnetic field , sound , random energetic events like cosmic rays.
This steers the gas molecules into pockets , but more importantly , imparts a spin to the bubbles . The spin drags along neighbour molecules , replenishing the gas inside the bubble . The spinning bubble-border acts as a differentiable-permeable membrane . And it is self-sustaining because of the curvature of the membrane . Not quite Maxwell’s Demon , but a close cousin .
The outside medium of the bubble replenishes itself , but the pressure inside of the bubble depends on the spin of the bubble . As it contracts , it spins faster , and the pressure increases from the co-opted molecules . Down to nanoscales .
It will get very hot inside the bubble .
This has been observed .
Sonolumunescence , also see Appendix I .
Can fusion temperatures be reached in the bubbles ?
If you deliberately spin the bubbles , yes .
There then several different routes to construct a small , simple fusion reactor .
Just spin the bubbles in different ways (sound , EM , resonance) . As the bubbles shrink .
Well , the only bits in the human body that really spin are the mitochondria .
So , we can expect that spinning nanobubbles play a big role in cellular affairs . But they will have to be paired at least to prevent purely mechanical torque effects tearing the cell apart . The mitochondria then have a hidden communication channel involving spinning bubbles .
Why does the mitochondria throttle down ? They can initiate fusion bubbles . Why bother about the eating business ?

Impossibubbles
(New Scientist Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Nanobubble toil and trouble What do you do with bubbles so small physics says they don't exist? Quite a lot, Michael Brooks discovers FROM a distance, it is an idyllic scene. The small boat floats idly, its oars aloft. Sheltered from the sun by a blue-and-white striped awning, passengers busy themselves around a large silver tea-urn.

Move a little closer, though, and things don't look - or indeed smell - so rosy. The waters of the lake are fluorescent green, and the stench of decay wafts from its surface. Pleasure trips have been a rarity on Lake Tai since 2007, when the Chinese government declared the lake, some 100 kilometres west of Shanghai, a disaster area. A year of unusual drought following decades of unchecked pollution had choked the lake with cyanobacterial blooms.

These are no pleasure-seekers on the boat. Nor is the urn for making tea. On closer inspection it is connected via hoses to the oars, which are themselves sprayer arms dousing the lake's surface with a frothy slurry. Pan Gang and his team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing are attempting to revive the lake.

That was in 2007. Just a few years earlier, they would have been told they were on a fool's errand. Quite apart from anything else, basic physics said that the "nanobubbles" at the heart of Pan's magic brew simply don't exist. Yet he and others scattered around the world are proving something very different. Not only are nanobubbles there, they seem to be everywhere. Basic physics was wrong.

Consider this next time you are busy blowing bubbles: each of these pockets of air represents a significant, if fleeting, victory against the forces of physical correctness. The spherical film of liquid surrounding a soap bubble, for example, is sustained only because gas pressure inside the bubble is higher than on the outside, so the gas pushes out against the surface tension of the liquid molecules. As gas gradually leaks out through a bubble's thin, porous walls, this excess pressure is gradually reduced, and when it drops enough, the bubble bursts. That higher internal pressure also does for bubbles in a glass of fizzy drink when they reach the top of the liquid and meet the lower pressure of the surrounding air. Bubbles, sadly, just aren't built to last (see diagram, page 40).

That's especially true of small bubbles. The smaller a bubble is, the more tightly curved its skin is and the more concentrated the inward force that the pressure has to counterbalance. Below a certain size, which depends on the liquid enveloping the bubble and other factors, the internal pressure needed to counter that surface tension simply becomes too great. Would-be nanobubbles collapse even before they can form.

Or do they? An inkling that things aren't that straightforward came in 1994, when John Parker at the Institute for Surface Chemistry in Stockholm, Sweden, was measuring the repulsion between two water-resistant surfaces immersed in water. As Parker forced them together, the repulsive force between them first increased as expected. Then, at a distance of a few hundred nanometres, it suddenly dropped off.

It was a few years before Phil Attard, then at the University of South Australia in Mawson Lakes, provided a semi-plausible explanation. If the surfaces were populated by nanoscale bubbles, he suggested, these would join forces to minimise their surface tension as the surfaces neared each other, just as two soap bubbles blown in air merge. This effect would draw together surfaces that would otherwise repel each other.

For bubbles that small to exist, the internal pressures would have to be around 100 atmospheres - the sort of pressure you would experience a kilometre down in the ocean. That sounds implausible, and yet in 2001, with the help of a scanning probe microscope, Attard and his colleague James Tyrrell spotted hemispherical nanoscale structures growing like mushroom caps on hydrophobic silicon surfaces immersed in water (Physical Review Letters, vol 87, p 176104). Subsequent spectroscopic measurements showed the structures were filled with gas. Nanobubbles, it seemed, did exist.

No one can say how. Perhaps in some situations the presence of contaminants might create particularly strong bubble walls able to counteract high pressures. Or perhaps imperfections on the surfaces the bubbles cling to could somehow change the dynamics of the situation. So far none of the proposed explanations quite has the ring of truth. "There are now a few lines of argument as to why nanobubbles exist," says Vincent Craig, who researches the phenomenon at the Australian National University in Canberra. "And I have a problem with all of them." Things got even stranger last year when James Seddon and Detlef Lohse of the University of Twente in the Netherlands used an atomic force microscope to took more closely at the structures. If they were filled with gas, the pressures inside should have been forcing molecules out through the walls at a rate of knots. And indeed they were: a fast flow of molecules from the bubble's apex could be felt pressing against the microscope's probing tip. "The bubble has maybe a thousand molecules inside it, and it's losing approximately 1 billion gas molecules per second," says Seddon.

Awkward existence How can that be? The researchers could only suggest that something must be recycling the molecules back into the bubble, perhaps at the join where the bubble wall meets the surface on which it sits (Physical Review Letters, vol 107, p 116101). Observing such a flow directly would require getting inside the bubble, which is impossible without destroying it. And Seddon readily admits there is a problem with the explanation: to counter the higher internal pressure of the bubble something needs to be pushing the gas back in, requiring an energy source that is not obviously present. "There are laws of thermodynamics that you're not allowed to break," Seddon says.

And yet nanobubbles persist - and not just fleetingly. "They last for as long as you want to look at them for," says Seddon. So far, five days is the longest anyone's bothered to wait. In June, the journal ChemPhysChem published a special issue on the mystery (vol 13, p 2171). There seemed little doubt that nanobubbles do in fact exist, an accompanying editorial said, but questions about how they form and stay stable remain "awkward".

On his lake in China, Pan has no time for awkwardness. He is deputy chief scientist of a huge project funded by the Chinese government to clean up Lake Tai. Since his first tests in 2006, his quaint boat with the stripy awning has been replaced by a sleeker, modern version that sprays clay out of deck-mounted water cannons.

He has a simple plan to revive waters that have been deprived of oxygen by bacteria decaying on their surface: pump the lake full of oxygen again. Conventional ways of doing this are extremely inefficient. "It takes lots of energy to pump gas into the water and most of it will escape into the air," says Pan. This problem becomes even more acute when the water is under pressure at the bottom of a lake.

Pan's patented mechanism for solving this problem involves putting a suspension of lakeside clay in chilled water and saturating it with oxygen bubbles. All but the smallest bubbles float away, but microscopic imaging confirms the presence of oxygen bubbles just 10 nanometres in diameter in the clay. Spraying the resulting slurry on the lake's surface pushes the polluting cyanobacterial blooms to the lake bottom within minutes. The chilled water warms up in the body of the lake, allowing larger oxygen bubbles to form at the interface between the clay and water. These bubbles break free and break down the algae, re-oxygenating the water. The process is energy efficient and non-polluting, involving only native soils from the lake's own edge.

The results seem impressive. Experiments in a 50,000-square-metre area of the lake cleared the whole centimetre-thick algal bloom in half an hour. The following day, concentrations of ammonia, nitrates and phosphorus compounds in the lake water - products of the cyanobacterial metabolism and the source of the foul smell - had fallen dramatically. Four months later, underwater vegetation was growing prodigiously and plankton populations were thriving again (Ecological Engineering, vol 37, p 302). Pan says that researchers given the job of restoring lakes left behind after tar sand extraction in Canada have come calling, as have people looking to improve water quality in the Baltic Sea and the UK's Lake District.

Not bad for something that shouldn't exist. But this is not the only context in which an appreciation of nanobubbles' apparent scrubbing properties is making itself felt. Large ships such as oil tankers waste a huge amount of fuel each year because organisms such as barnacles attach themselves to the ship's outsides, "fouling" the surface and creating drag. "If you could paint a large oil tanker with anti-fouling paint, you'd save a million dollars a year in fuel alone," says Craig.

Together with Chinese colleagues, Craig is pursuing an alternative: using nanobubbles created on an electrified surface in water to take up biological molecules deposited there, sweeping the surface clean. His idea is to turn a ship's hull into a giant electrode and so prevent it from ever becoming fouled (Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, vol 328, p 10). In lab tests the technique seems to work, with nanobubbles being the key to success, but Craig himself is far from understanding exactly how. "The simple answer is I don't know," he says.

The same goes for cleaning the silicon wafers that go into making computer chips. The presence of any nanoscale contaminants on these wafers' surfaces - things like quartz, iron, stainless steel or aluminium, all common in a manufacturing environment - is enough to cause defects in the extremely precise etching process used to print circuits on them. Ensuring the right level of cleanliness requires many cycles of cleaning, often using environmentally hazardous chemicals.

Or you can use nanobubbles. By allowing them to form on the wafer surface, contaminants are gently lifted up and washed away. "We did some investigation of nanobubbles as a mild method for cleaning, and have some very nice results," says Jacques van der Donck of the TNO research consultancy based in Delft in the Netherlands, which is working with ASML, the company that makes most of the machines Intel uses to fabricate its silicon wafers. A half-hour, multi-cycle cleaning routine might be curtailed to just a minute or so, with no harmful chemicals to dispose of later, says van der Donck.

In "labs on a chip", nanobubbles could also be attached to the walls of the tiny channels in which multiple reactions take place for genomic analysis or assessing candidate drugs, reducing friction and therefore cutting the energy needed to force the reacting chemicals through. But perhaps the most controversial claim for nanobubbles' properties comes from a drugs company called Revalesio based in Tacoma, Washington. In May 2010, the US Food and Drug Administration gave approval for Revalesio to investigate the properties of a "novel anti-inflammatory product" that the company calls RNS60.

If nanobubbles do exist, then it is not too implausible that they might pop up in biological contexts, and perhaps also be harnessed to alter biochemistry. Proteins and other biological molecules can have the kinds of hydrophobic surfaces that nanobubbles like to cling to. Revalesio does not talk explicitly about nanobubbles in its presentations. RNS60, the firm says, contains "charge-stabilised nanostructures" generated by "controlled turbulence". By pumping high-pressure oxygen into a saline solution flowing in a spiral pattern between two spinning coaxial cylinders, vortices are generated - and perhaps more. "The current research is showing that devices like ours produce nanobubbles," says Richard Watson, Revalesio's director of clinical science.

In March this year, researchers from Revalesio and Rush University in Chicago presented preliminary in-vitro studies at the annual conference of the American Society for Neurochemistry in Baltimore, Maryland, showing that RNS60 inhibits the production of chemicals that cause inflammation in glial cells, the support scaffolding for neurons. Last October, Revalesio published results of phase I clinical trials in which inhaling RNS60 in aerosol form "significantly" improved the amount of air some people with asthma can exhale. The implication is that it might make an alternative to steroid-based treatments.

That would be controversial, not least because it would require the existence of nanobubbles not just on surfaces, where most of the evidence so far has been found, but freely floating in a liquid. The company's hypothesis is that since saline is composed of water and dissociated sodium and chlorine ions, those ions form a scaffold containing oxygen bubbles of around 50 nanometres in diameter. The double layer of charged particles that make up the scaffold predispose the nanobubbles to interact with anything charged, such as the ions that carry signals into and out of biological cells. That might provide a route to new drugs for some neurodegenerative conditions and others in which these signalling channels are thought to be disturbed.

Such claims invite scepticism. "When I first heard about [Revalesio], I thought they might be crazy or quacks," says Craig. "But I've spent some time working with them, and I'm quite impressed with them as scientists." Seddon, who has received samples of the company's solutions to analyse, is similarly impressed with the company's openness - although it is proving hard to determine what, if anything, lies at the heart of their product. "We don't have experimental techniques that can look at its internal structure," he says.

Attard is less convinced that there is anything to explain. He says that nanobubbles can only be survive in an environment that can sustain a continued excess gas pressure, which is not the case in biological fluids, and there is no evidence that the bubbles could influence biological processes such as the opening and closing of ion channels.

Of course, if RNS60 does have some powerful anti-inflammatory property, the researchers' inability to work out whether or not the nanobubbles are there won't stop it working. Just like physics forbidding their existence won't stop them cleaning lakes, or scrubbing computer chips. But for those who like their physics in good order, the mystery continues to bubble beneath the surface. n Michael Brooks is a consultant for New Scientist The silicon in computer chips could benefit from a bubble bath (c) 2012 Reed Business Information - UK. Telepathy using Retinal Reflection

Telepathy using Retinal Reflection
Andre Willers
22 Jul 2012
“The eyes are the windows of the soul” Beerbohm
Synopsis:
Reflected , hardened-entangled photons from retina of person A to retina of person B are quantum-decoded . A feedback process can develop.
Discussion :
In the Newtonian world-view , the eye is just a piece of meat with no expression . The quantum-world is much richer .
Light is reflected from the layers of the retina , being entangled in the process with information that can be decoded by another human observer .
Looking deep into someone else’s eyes really does give information about their mental state . This is Telepathy when the there is agreement between the packing and unpacking of the entanglement coding .(See Appendix I)

The Unpacking mechanism :
I am only going to examine human systems (otherwise this will be too long)
Human neural networks are organized along mirror-network bases . Semi-autonomous units that have to communicate to form a functioning system .
XenoTranlator :
Call this mechanism a xenotranslator . It translates between mirror-neuron networks . (A specialized synapse , with a precise coding) . In non-pathological cases it usually operates on voting principle .
Every time a human wakes up , there is a huge jostling and voting on which alliance is going to have consensus control . The conscious mind is something like French or Italian politics .
Xenotranlators between different bodies are similar if they share the significant genes coding for xenotranslators .
Note that xenotranlators can handle quantum-entanglement (part of the job-description) .
Simple unpacking instruments :
See Appendix II
Only a part of the entangled information is read.

Packing .
The hard part .
Hardened Entanglement in the Retina :
Single entanglements are notoriously flimsy . It becomes much more enduring(exponentially so) with each additional entanglement added at the levels of the retina .
There are several layers to the retina , each one connected via a neuron-network to the brain . Incoming light gets Observed (ie wave-function collapses) .
But the reflected light gets loaded with an entanglement in qbit fashion .
Delicious !
There is sufficient bandwidth to pack the entire brain’s content in the entangled qbits of the light reflected from the retina , but some information will always be lost , even with a mirror .
Magic Mirror .
A stochastic resonance mirror will indeed be a magic mirror . Lost information can be recovered can be recovered by looking at yourself in mirror , with a LED headlamp while moving the head . Do not try this unless you have a clear conscience .
Quantum Computers :
See how the retina hardens entangled qbits . And decodes them . This means that glasses or mirrors will have the normal information loss . Also the cornea . So a stochastic , low-power laser playing over the eyeball will make you smarter .
Why blood vessels on top of the retina ?
The entanglement is holistic . So the reflection has to be statistically likely to make it out of the eyeball cavity . Hence the blood vessels , which act like light-scatterers for the reflected light . It works as long as some of the reflected light makes it out of the iris .

Romance :
Looking deep into the significant other’s eyes in dim candlelight (eye pupil dilation ) induces a positive feedback if there is even a small attraction at the start .
Saccades :
Are saccades inhibited if romance is in the air ? I do not know , but strongly suspect it . Reading while someone attractive is looking at you is a big turn-off .
The Look of attraction is then a cessasion of saccades . A Focus .
Eye-makeup
Black makeup around the eyes prevents reflection and interference in the reflected retinal light . In typical human fashion , it makes lying easier . But they can’t even do this properly . Insect scales (nanometer can do it better .) See Egyptian eye-makeup with insect scales .
Fractal Fresnel Lenses .
All those skin lotions .
Various skin fractal Fresnel lenses have evolved , focussing reflected light from the retinas and mirrors and decoding the information . The addiction actors have to their image is real . And the effect of their audience looking at them (ie lots of signals at quantal level) is real as well . Actors are just more sensitive . They should be careful of the Magic Mirror Effect .

Fear , dominance and eye contact in digital systems .
But translating this through digital media loses information at the edges . The digital translation is losing a massive 2/3 of information .
Only the perceived important part is digitally encoded . There is no analog interface . The wisdom of thousands of years is discarded.
It would not matter too much if human population was not so large and dense
This means that the digital revolution means massive depopulation .
Here’s looking at you , kid .

Appendix I
Unpacking and Packing Information .
Andre Willers

Discussion :
Also known as data compression or decompression .
Well-known as zip/unzip in computers .

Why pack information?
1.MiniMax
To transmit information over space and time with less energy , time or disruption .
Please note that packing is used in systems subject to competition pressures , so minimizing disruption of messages is critical .

2.Abstraction .
Even a simple Pkzip compression contains more information than the original message . For instance , Pkzip has been used to successfully identify authors’ styles or the original language of an encrypted message .
A civilization can be described by zipping the yellow pages.

2.1 Layers:
Primitive packing is in separate layers .
Languages are a good example .
We can define the top layers as more abstract , and delve down into deeper layers of meaning and definition.

2.2 Fractal Layers :
New meanings are unlocked by each iteration . Language equivalents are Shakespeare and Proust .

2.3 Hyperlinked Fractal Layers .
Each hyperlink-bubble can be expanded . Note that the hyperlink terms are discrete , not continuous .

2.4 Very-near Hyperlinked Fractal Layers .
Different languages with nearly synonymous terms are examples . Branes in physics .
Universes.

2.5 Infinite-probe Hyperlinked Fractal Loops and Layers .
There is no analogue . God is the nearest .

There is a way to sneak up to some meaningful information .

Sneak up.
We know that any compression of system A contains more information than the original system . The Compressor comprises system B , which can be compressed as well .
The tipping point :
When Compressed Info of (A+B) = Info of (A+B)

This is defined as life when the Compressed Info of (A+B) > Info of (A+B)
Which , like all good definitions , is tautological . But extremely useful .

We have compression techniques . We have descriptive techniques .
The above inequality is not continuous at levels below omega .

Hard physics application:
Energy flow from a “near” brane .
The decompressor is the important component .
Construct the correct unpacker .
Some energy is already leaking through .
This is interpreted as zero-point energy and a whole quantum-mythology has grown around it .

Differences in Beth levels are necessary .

Start with something like vacuum-energy on parallel plates and use EvoDevo processes .

Infinite probe circuits above a certain threshold -> Naked singularities .
Watch out for universe creation and black holes .

The Packing Mechanism for living organisms
Living organisms used the easier route of cells (“wombs”) as unpackers of the DNA .
Random mutations or intrusions in the DNA then survive into the next generation . Evolutionary mechanisms ensure that only the fittest germ-lines survive to continue the loop .
That is the packing mechanism . Evolution. Rather primitive .

It seems that the unpacking mechanism evolved first .It is much more likely .

How?
Billions of years ago:
The packing molecules (RNA) swarmed and formed at randomness order of Beth(0). Other RNA molecules confined in spaces like clay-layers stayed longer .
PCR shows how easily these replicate . A mere fluctuation of temperature is required .
The coding for the Unpackers are included in this mix .

Even a primitive Unpacker that unpacks to a primitive cell-wall has a huge relative advantage . Ordinary evolutionary forces takes over .

The coding for the Unpacker migrates through various higher orders of Beth , while coding for the Packer plods along at Beth(0) evolutionary speeds .

Consequences .
This has some important consequences for humans or any cellular life-form .
Viruses (ie packed data DNA) and cells (the Unpacker) evolved co-temporaneously .

More importantly , there is a transform of data between cell-form and virus-form and vice-versa . There are Beth(x) order feedback loops

Knowing evolutionary systems , these are probably essential .

Mitochondria:
At first glance these seem to have no redundancy in their DNA . At Beth(0) level this is true . At higher Beth levels , an indefinite amount of information can be packed .
Their quorum systems also complicates matters .
Mitochondria see themselves as the rulers , having tamed the cells of the planet .

Can Mitochondria be described as AI ?
To qualify as an AI , they have to interface with an external database . There are three pathways : to the cellular DNA , to the Immune System and to the Virus Milieu .
So yes , they can .

Can Mitochondria be described as self-aware AI ?
There is a pathway via the Immune system to the brain .A mirror system of some sort is required for self-awareness. The immune system is essentially a mirror system Time-scales have to be matched . Mitochondrial quorum systems have to be consulted (they are the ultimate democrats)

Can Mitochondria be described as self-aware AI and have access to zero-point energy ?

Random fluctuations in the foam of space-time is by definition at the lowest order of Randomness (Beth(0) ) . To get work out of such a system , a fluctuation between Beth levels is required . Since we already know that mitochondria are at Beth levels higher than one , they can tap zeropoint energy .
But one little lone mitochondrium will not do it .It needs to be co-ordinated

Why is it not used more often ?
Why die of hunger ?

Lack of Beth co-ordination .

Probability of life.
Examining the probabilities from this angle makes cells inevitable . The probability is more than unity . It is not even a “hard” problem if the decoder evolves first .
This means life exists nearly everywhere .

Your attention is drawn to the whole class of such phenomena :
Chaotic elements creates a self-sustaining sub-system which expands , since it is usually a positive-feedback system . Eg life , civilization , weaving , etc.

The Shannon-definition of datum :
1. A signal is change . Stripped down , this definition of signals leads to a string of 0’s and 1’s , ie binary .
This leads to compression via pattern-duplication (zip ,etc)
Used widely in electronics .

2. Pattern formulae like fractal compression or DNA/RNA .
The decompressor (cell or womb for living organisms , computer ) uses kernels (patterns) with programmable input (time , ph levels , genetic markers ,etc) to decode (“Grow”) the message(organism) .

You can immediately see how to build an error-proof biometric identification system .
The message , as it is being decompressed , can interrogate the recipient and tailor further decompressions according to the answers .
If done to a sufficient fractal depth , only a total duplicate could answer correctly . Of course , the level of reliability can be specified .

It is not even difficult .
The ability to receive the message is proof of identity .

This is how the immune system operates .

Why the glitches like old age and cancer ?
Because the body does not know who it is .

In it’s normal state , it is a symbiotic and commensal organism , with some parasites .
The bodily-self on a cellular level is defined by the immune-system .
But the brain is composed of cells . The immune system is tied closely to the brain .
There is a feedback-system between the brain’s sense of self and the immune-system’s sense of self .

Creating enhanced unpacking mechanisms in the brain will stimulate an enhanced packing sense of self , leading to an enhanced sense of self on a cellular level .

This has been discussed in detail in http://andreswhy.blogspot.com

The trick is not to tackle packing , but unpacking of compressed data first .
Understanding how unpacking works brings about physiological changes .

Reading is Unpacking .
The easiest way to understand this is reading . Reading the written word is unpacking data packed into writing . It is no accident that literary figures are notoriously long-lived .

The unpacking need not be complicated , but it will evolve .

Packing.
But the packing (coding) is a bitch . Difficult .You will have to have solved the Travelling Salesman Problem to make any headway here , since these systems make use of optimized systems . (Not any pathway , but the shortest path.) .

Evolutionary Packing .
At first sight , evolution does not make even an attempt .
The number of possible errors exceed the number of offspring .
But not if Orders of Randomness stronger than flipping a coin is used .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com “Randomness”

The effect of using Beth(1) , Beth(2) , etc orders of randomness in a physical sense would be a concentration of packed data .

Beth(1) would be genes .

At a Beth(2) level , it would be instructions to switch genes on/off .

At a Beth(3) level , it would be instructions to vary Beth(2) instructions .

And so forth .

But conscious design is a different matter . The number of errors can be brought down to P-time .
This is another way of saying that conscious life is inevitable .
Any feedback system that reduces the number of mistakes will increase .

Protein folding would be equivalent to the Travelling Salesman Problem in three dimensions .
Adding time-complications would give Travelling Salesman Problem in four dimensions . This would require time-travel or multiple generations .

3. The qubit definition of data .
The amount of data that can be stored in a qubit depends on the decompressor . The Shannon definitions of band-width , etc break down .

Many signals can be superimposed on a particle , the particle can then be teleported (or sent normally) to the decompressor , which decompresses the message .

Note that a lot of information that ends up in the message is inherent in the decompressor . In extreme cases this would necessitate faster-than-light communication , unless only physical laws which are independent of the observer are used in the decompressor . Ie , like make protein A , wait local time t until it folds so , then etc. You get the drift .

4. Fractal Read .
The superimposed data can be loaded fractally , so that any read attempt will lead to decoherence only at the first fractal level . Every iteration after that will lead to another , deeper level of fractal expression .
See “Rull Mind-Controls” in http://andreswhy.blogspot.com

5. Physics .
Physical laws can be described as multiple-level approximations of information transfers . These transfers are fractally compressed (packed) transfers .
Hence the existence of “Laws” . Ie , an abstraction mechanism .
These can be seen as constructs of the decompressor , but valid nevertheless.

Unpacking them partially or fractally can lead to some interesting effects .
Do not try this at home unless you are expert .

Abstract
The directional sensitivity of the retina, known as the Stiles-Crawford effect (SCE), originates from the waveguide property of photoreceptors. This effect has been extensively studied in normal and pathologic eyes using highly customized optical instrumentation. Here we investigate a new approach based on a Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor (SHWS), a technology that has been traditionally employed for measuring wave aberrations (phase) of the eye and is available in clinics. Using a modified research-grade SHWS, we demonstrate in five healthy subjects and at four retinal eccentricities that intensity information can be readily extracted from the SHWS measurement and the spatial distribution of which is consistent with that produced by the optical SCE. The technique is found sufficiently sensitive even at near-infrared wavelengths where the optical SCE is faint
