1.What is it ?
“The Leap Motion controller is a small USB peripheral device
which is designed to be placed on a physical desktop, facing upward. Using two
cameras and three infrared LEDs,
the device observes a roughly hemispherical area, to a distance of about 1
meter (3 feet).[8] It
is designed to track fingers (or similar items such as a pen) which cross into
the observed area, to a spatial precision of about 0.01 mm.[9]An
advertisement video provides a visual demonstration.[10]
The smaller observation area and higher resolution of the device
differentiates the product from the Kinect, which is
more suitable for whole-body tracking in a space the size of a living room.[11] In
a demonstration to CNET,
The Leap was shown to perform tasks such as navigating a website, using pinch-to-zoom
gestures on maps, high-precision drawing, and manipulating complex 3D data
visualizations.[11] ”

2.What
does this mean ?
2.1Read
my lips .
Facial
gestures , including lip reading can easily be apped into a smartphone .
2.2Sign
language can directly interface with the computer .
2.3Analysis
of cellular behaviour . Eg sperm , white-blood corpuscles , amorphous bacteria
, etc . Other apps can amplify the image to Leap motion size . Computers can
take it from there .

Expression recognition :
Who cares
what the perps look like . It is their intention that matters . And that is mirrored
in their expression at subliminal levels . Leap motion can pick this up .

Diseases :
Many
diseases , especially mental ones , shows up in hand and facial expressions .
These can be noted and, analysed . Giving a fast first diagnosis .

SPORTS !
2.6.1
Golf . A Leap Motion device coupled to a laptop/tablet or smartphone can really
analyse your game to millimetres , and give a running commentary .

Tennis , baseball , basketball can all be done .

Chess ?

Poker . It will be banned . You cannot bluff with this system in operation .
