Synopsis:
Can you own yourself in a world of juggernaut Corporations ,
Megastates and people smarter than yourself rigging the whole system ? The answer is Yes .

2.The pattern is then that the liberators become the new
Elite , and things repeat after a number of generations .
See the Matriarchs either as eccentric history , or a
cautionary , extended metaphor . A sort of 1984 of the past .
What happens when Elites rule .
3. Why ?
It is part of the “Tragedy of the Commons” paradigm . See
Appendix B for some memes .
This has two components :
3.1 The Commons of Humans are fragmented into about 150
persons units . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunbar's_number
3.2 There was no recipe (algorithm) to use expansion of
Dunbar’s limit .
The new Elites know only one way , a repeat of the old way .
Things pretty soon collapse back into the Keepers and the
Kept , Slavers and Slaves , Owners and
Owned , Rich and Poor .
All for their own
good , of course .
4. The “Tragedy of the Commons” Boundaries has been broken :
4.1 Social Media , especially Facebook . Dunbar’s limit has
been decisively broken . You can (and some have) millions of persons in as
close contact as the old 150 .
4.2 Ostrum Principles is a set of rules to utilize this to
make the process self-sustaining . No new Elite
.

5. So what now ?
In the old days , it took about 300 years for a Quiet
Revolution to ferment (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constantine_the_Great)
Two things have speeded it up :
5.1 The speed of trusted communication . Equivalent of
word-by-mouth from a friend . Social media . Gossip .
Luckily we already know this . It has speeded up 52 times .

So 300 years becomes 5-6 years .
Facebook was founded 2004 , and sure enough Arab spring civil wars in the Arab world that began on 18 December 2010 . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Spring
This will continue into the singularity , but
expect pulses because of inertial effects from large capital masses .
This also disqualifies the so-called elite ,
because if they were Elite , they would have realised what it means and
suppressed it .
They are no more qualified than you .
5.2 Depth into the Singularity . Like fish in water , humans
do not notice how fast the vortex is already moving .
We are talking about human capability changing . Getting
smarter , processing more information quicker , learning to jump over the
barriers of the rat maze .
You know , outsmarting the experimenter .
Humans are in the process of flipping to the next liminal
value (IQ163) .
The Flynn effect (lagging) is about 0.3 IQ points per year .
63/.3 ~ 210 years ~10 generations as a
first linear approximation .
The measured effect is close to linear at the start , but
goes up exponentially towards the end .
Exponential systems usually packs about 90% of change in the
last 10 % of the driving variable .
Which means , that the date of a IQ flip to IQ163 for the
whole planetary normal population is 2026 AD , with severe changes in the last years .
Not quite singularity , but outliers amongst humans should
have bumped another notch .

It would be like putting a Formula One engine into a Model T
Ford .
Great power , dicey steering . Sounds human , all right .
Interesting times , indeed .
We are already seeing it .
All those dumbing down techniques will boomerang .
A lot of angry young humans , looking for culprits .
The Elite better head for the hills . Very high hills .
Off-planet in fact .
